Thats so dumb… quick scoping is so stupid strong now.

PC players are clicking on people, the problem I have is PC mixing with console. PC players have way more advantage than console players, so if they're going to mix the worlds, console players need that sort of focusing on. Thumb sticks does not move like mouse period. If it's console vs console players, then focusing should be removed.

I feel like my aim assist doesn't slowdown or track them at all and I'm using focusing with standard aim curve

now try it in a game, while you're really moving, and they're moving, and you're shooting. it does nothing.

So it looks like focusing works for me more. AA should only be helping me when I’m aiming, not when I’m walking around.

I have a question for all y'all regarding aim assist and accuracy in general.
So I've been really focused lately on placing my shots without panicking and freezing up in fast face-to-face situations which has been an issue with me. This is part of a broader goal of becoming more accurate in general.
Overall, it's worked; I'm up to about .23 on one of my latest guns I started using, after I've struggled to get into the 20's when I first got back into COD some months ago.

But I have one problem: I'm WILDLY inconsistent. And this leaves me scratching my head wondering whether I've truly improved. Some games, I feel like a machine, flying around corners and snapping on targets so quickly and precisely. Other games, my aim feels really touchy and slippery, like I've just lost that "edge." And in these games, I lose tons of kills because I simply couldn't execute with my aim (sometimes missing players from behind and them turning around and killing me after I wasted a whole clip, after I was snagging players left and right the game before, leaving me shaking my head).

My aim seems "on and off" between different games, and I wonder since it's so discrete like this if there's an underlying reason.

I'm a big fan of pre-aiming around corners as it just looks really cool and tactical, and I like getting those smooth kills where you're placing shots on somebody almost immediately because you pre-aimed, but I wonder if pre-aiming interferes with the aim assist, since you're not trying to snap on a target on the screen, but aiming around the corner and trying to adjust to a target, causing the aim assist to not apply… that's one theory.

Another theory is that my aim sometimes struggles when I'm struggling in general, usually against a lobby of better players, causing me to be more twitchy and less controlled with my aim. That's another theory I have.

Not sure if you guys have some insight into how to make my aim and my gameplay more consistent. Thanks!

Back in the days where no assist was needed to play games

I still don't get why only gamepads get glorified aimbot options. Those of us who play on kb/m don't even have one option, controller players know, and they abuse random jumping and sliding because they all know they are getting free snap lockons while moving at full speed that we can't achieve.

This is still an issue.

As a M&K player I feel like I cannot miss a SINGLE bullet. Yes, 1 bullet vs a good controller player will lose me the gunfight almost every time.

The controller helps you with the most difficult skilled part of the game, staying on target during a gunfight.

Edit: m&k players have 100ms to 200ms to correct their aim during a gunfight… controller players have aim assist for that. Enough said.

try console vs pc you'll see the real difference with aim assist. They made it so when it's console vs pc, console stands more of a chance hence the buffed aim assist. Console vs console you won't see much diff.

To those of you having the issue with your aim assist failing: If you’re one of the last players in a match or being spectated by multiple players and unsure why? What you’ll need to do is check your settings and make sure the aim assist is set to disabled. Then you back out to save the settings and shutdown the console (ps4 I’m assuming). Next you will unplug the console, clean it vigorously, clean the controllers or change the analogs out with fresh ones, and dust the inners – It helps, it’s extra, but it helps. Download the app “OfferUp.” List your console for whatever price your little heart desires. Hopefully, you sell it to a trustworthy person. Snag a quick 150-250 depending on your newly ditched collection. Who knows? You could have a lot of unnecessary accessories for it. You’ll then use that money to save towards your newly acquired construction job: gaming PC. Practice makes Perfect! Whatever peripherals you decide to buy, Like a simple Corsair or an eccentric Huntsman elite, a runmus mouse, or even a Logitech G series. You’ll get used to it, and the aim assist issue will eventually just vanish. Just like the point of my comment.

I disabled mines. It goes in and out sometimes making it harder for me to focus my own aim

honestly aim assist ruined the game. there have been many times when they ads me, and the gun is literally guided to me. can't wait for battlefield 6 because it'll demolish COD.

Update: I use precision, because the aim assist slowdown is good, and only works when you are aiming close to the opponents pixel frame. I still think that ALL aim assist should go, because 1: it is the most realist in terms of barrel position distance and moa (minute of angle) and 2: because you'd be able to tell who can actually AIM or not.. and who actually git gud, that is all.

I wish there was mouse only lobbies for the hardcore. Aim assist often takes the fun right out of the game.
