Somebody in Blizzard really wanted to destroy Arthas once and for all, what they get i dont know, but thats it.
In this timeline, methinks Renault Mograine would become the Lich King.
So your idea bases on "suddenly Arhtas got magical light superpowers beyond anything ever seen before just because he didnt do the thing" and thats when we know that the light is absolutely indifferent to morals and just like any magic, based on the users capabilities. And that not only does it give Arthas superpowers but everyone in his army too. And based on the idea that the light is good against undead which it wasnt since chronicles (tbf i hate that retcon)
Invincibles Death was the beginning of Arthas fall to madness
Arthas did the right thing
yeah in anyway Stratholme people were going to die
There was no other option. Arthas actually chose the best case scenario. The citizens were already infected and were soon to be painfully transformed into mindless undead, bent to the will of a demon.
Now I want to see "What if Uther helped his future king purge Stratholme"
It's actually very much possible that the Lich King had many failed champions in the past who almost fell into the fold but made a crucial decision that changed their fates for the better. Arthas was merely one of those champions that made all the wrong choices.
Based on some recent data mining, I think we will soon get to see what happened if Arthas didn't make the tough call
The moral dilemma of what should be done about Stratholme…
Purge it, or not?
Logic or Morals?
Purging it IS the logical thing to do. It DID stop the spread of the plague and it stopped a massive undead army forming in Lordaeron months earlier. However, the moral consequences are much much greater down the line, therefore logic doesn't trump morals here.
Simply put, there were no good moves for Arthas to play. That being said, the correct decision maybe could have been to play no move at all. I also believe he couldn't have left Lordaeron either.
There was only one option if he didn't cull Stratholme. And that was to stand his ground, with Uther and The Silver Hand. Maybe to die fighting nonetheless, but die as one of the greatest heroes of Lordaeron.
what if arthas save and purify stratholme instead of purge and destroy it.
What if arthas had listened to Medivh
Literal zombies apocalypse and people who against Arthas' idea would be killing zombies, while Arthas drinks from a tall glass of 'I told you so!'.
Jaina got the plague in the book from touching grain ungloved and arthas headed her…. so there's that
u crazy arthas would not last a day vs the scourge he was lvl 6 not even lvl 10.
I didn't actually purge the city ! I just waited for people to turn into zombies and then killed them ! All I did was kill undead and keep them from getting to Mal'ganis ! Then I realized you see this theme in zombie movies, you kill them after they turn, not before ! Also, the undead were not match for my knights, I didn't even need froustmourne !
I like this story much better.
Everyone would be a zombie if he didn’t
I really do want to see a sequel to this.
Ner'zhul: Forgetting someone?
>:v where's part two?!
is there any followup?
He'll still want revenge on malganis. Go to northrend and still claim frostmourne. Him becoming the Lich king is inevitable.
I wonder what happened after Arthas came to Kamlimdor?
I can tell you with certainty without watching your video on this topic that if Arthas never "purged" stratholme the only other likely event would had been for some infected people to had made their way to Stormwind and Stormwind wouldn't had been the same. And if Stormwind had not been effected by this at all there really wouldn't had been any difference because Stratholme was more "in the way" of the legion to get to the sunwell than really anything else so if Kil'Thizad had never been killed its possible Sylvannus would had never become "the banshee queen".
What if Uther defeated Arthas in Andorhal?
Yes yes 😒😂
The Kirin Tor in Warcraft 3 campaign cast an aura that damaged the undead when Arthas attacked Dalaran. The Silverhand and Kirin Tor could have quarantined Stratholme, cast that spell/aura across the city so only the infected citizens would die.
does anyone know what the songs are called? especially here 2:15 and 4:14
Came back to this video after a few years and noticed at the need that you said Arthas lost the light because he was driven by vengeance, which isn't correct, he lost the light because he himself wasn't convinced that killing the city was the right thing to do, you can see many people using the light for many evil acts and the light stands with them as it doesn't care for good or evil but for conviction.
But yes he would have kept the light if he didn't cull Stratholm as he would have been convinced to be doing the right thing. So everything would have happened as you said just not for the reason you claimed.
What if there was a choice at that level saying if you want to purge or do the opposite thing
This is written so well that I forgot it wasn't real
I think if jaina and Uther join to him to hunt mal'gains arthas Won't take frostmorun because he now have a power to beat mal'gains and his army
What if Illidan was not imprisoned for 10 000 years?
FALRIC IS A DUUUUUDE!
The Kirin Tor we’re prepared to implement strict quarantine to keep this plague from spreading. King Terenas wouldn’t do it without proof. Arthas, Uther, and Jaina all having laid eyes upon it would have been the proof he needed. But Arthas wanted to fight out of pride. Who was Mal Ganis to come take his people from him and make them suffer? I agree this was the turning point and it was acknowledged by Uther when he says “you’ve just crossed a terrible threshold Arthas.”
