Blizzard is making a huge mistake with the recent release of World of Warcraft Cataclysm. It isn’t the release of the expansion itself though, but the fact that Blizzard is neglecting the desires of a large portion of its player base. What do I mean by this? Watch and find out! I meant to have the 2nd part of that Cataclysm leveling series come out today, but it turns out the entire file is corrupted and my SSD is dying. So, alas, I have to re-edit the entire project from scratch. Sucks, but oh well. I'll try to have it out by Friday. Thank you all for watching!
If you clear the end bosses in each expansions I.e. Vashj, KT, Archimonde, illidan then you get 10% xp and rep bonus in the next xpac to level with
The main problem I see as an issue is that then it would HEAVILY impact people leveling on TBC servers if you want to level a draenei/blood elf. Since they would likely be on a different server with people leveling in a vanilla world.
or, alternatively, TBC and Wrath fanboys have to deal with the fact that their pet expansions simply weren't as good as they thought they were. There's so much nostalgia here for TBC and Wrath, but perhaps it just wasn't that great, and Classic was the true peak of WoW. Just brainstorming here.

I have a theory on this whole situation.
I truly think Blizzard is trying to steer a lot of people from classic back into retail. You can tell Blizzard is going all in on retail and want to bring players back into that part of WoW.
Blizzard announcing Cataclysm classic resulted in “most” not all but a large group of the classic hardcore players to throw their hands up and be like “I’m done. I don’t wanna play this”. (Myself included) And they have a few options now. Play SOD (like I am)classic hardcore or go back to retail. SOD is a seasonal server and is probably going to end at some point. I don’t see MOP classic being a thing since Blizzard just released the MOP remix. So when Cata classic reaches its end. Blizzard will probably have some kind of seasonal server. Wow classic hardcore and retail.
I truly believe Blizzard wants to cut down on the classic player base and get them back into the retail.

Man, idk what it was, but wotlk felt so… Meh, compared to how it felt back in the day. The whole expansion was just dumb tryharding and GDKP. And I'm not against it that much even if I wish it wouldn't exist. But the community changed too much over the years and GDKP is but a simple symptom of that. Trash players thinking they are some godlike beings cause they can remember 1 mechanic they have to do on a boss. We will never recapture what wotlk was like. I feel like by playing it, it actually made wotlk worse in my eyes. It's time to bury it and move on.
I was under the impression that Blizz was going to let us have acess to the classic trilogy; let along stop revampin' old expacs till Cata only to see that they might not is not at all surprising either.
not the option to transfer. the option to copy (and they probably would need a good solution for pve/pvp if they only do 1 realm)
this is the best part of private servers that have different expacs, the option to transfer them to newer ones and continue the story, or stay and progress through the endgame.
They should do Vanilla to Wrath servers that reset every 4-6 years, or whatever time period people want. So like Seasons but its longer and goes through all three games so you can keep experiencing TBC and Wrath releases then resets. Probably wont need so much time since people will get more and more efficient but you can keep having a glimpse of getting a a fresh TBC release. At the end of Wrath you could then choose to transfer to what I'll call "Classic Retail WoW" now I guess.
Its such an easy win for blizzard.
Fire and forget it just keeps people paying you 15 dollars a month.
Requires almost no input on their part.
Just have literally 2-3 servers. Maybe more if needed.
And I agree no bs just classic wow, classic bc, classic wotlk. No boosts, no transfers, no item shop.

Well this mistake pales in comparison to your mistake of continuing to try to be a "content creator." Your recent channel metrics aren't looking good. Hopefully you kept your contacts w/Burger King & can maybe get that position of assistant manager back as your full-time real job. Good luck.
Don’t give them idea. The WoW community is very dispersed. The fact is that WoW is a MMO, having a big amount of people is the game base, now everyone, every friend is playing on different version of the game, soon they quit because no friends are together.
My plan was to hop off the classic bus with WoTLK. But since they announced the re-release of Cataclysm I completely stopped playing, I made the mistake of purchasing and playing Cata once and I don't plan to make that mistake again.
I would spend my life playing in a tbc era server, what a expansion, great at all cause!
