  1. This game sucks and is unplayable without a performance mode on console. Too much of a stick delay on the backswing, game does not feel smooth at all. Had the same problem with 2k23, except they have both modes available and was a quick fix. The only thing this game has goong for it are all the licensed majors, other than that, this game is hot garbage and unplayable at a 30fps cap for a console that touts 60fps ability and forced everyone to go buy tvs that can do 60-120fps

  2. Remember playing PGA tour on the old Sega Genesis. Those games were challenging because of the swing timing component. IMO, that fell apart in the Tiger Woods games which made everything too easy. Pretty easy to get a -15 or better for a round. Haven't purchased a golf game since. In watching this review, it seems like if you want the ball to go straight, it will go straight. Is this game even challenging, particularly after you level up your golfer's skills? Thanks for reading and answering.

  3. Tried it for 2 hours on PC, but I'll wait for the patch:
    – crashes after 2 holes in full screen mode
    – stuttering (32gb, rtx3060)
    – celebrating animations after hitting in the water
    – putting animation for short puts looks like he's putting 30 yards
    – pronouns
    – limited character customization
    – grass doesn't look great, no variation, clovers, dirt patch, divots
    – hitting mechanic has loads of input lag
    – no tutorial or explanation anywhere
    – and no driving range either

  4. So many clowns commenting on this. EA is NOT 2k so they will have different mechanics and everything. Also, I don’t swing as fast as 2k shows in real life. No one swings that fast in the beginning. I take my time with my back swing and explode through the ball. Ya’ll whine so damn much. Plus, EA already said they are going to be adding 60FPS after launch!!! I like a challenge and clearly, most of you don’t.

  5. Gets review copy from ea. Supposedly… then doesn't utilize that code by clickbaiting the video title and not giving a review at all. Be better man

  6. My problem that I have with this game is when I hit a shot with a wedge I have ZERO spin on the ball. Feels like I'm hitting off of glass and it seems like my ball is rolling on glass.

It's not great, 2K, even in it's sub-par state is a superior game by far right now.

  7. The problem I have it with in the career mode is that there is ZERO forgiveness at all. With arcade settings and everything it still has absolutely no remorse if you even slightly turn in to the left or right. On top of the fact that if you don’t make a perfect swing every time. You’re almost guaranteed to end up in the rough with the irons. Those irons in the game are absolutely impossible to mange and to even use. The game lies to you as well as to where your ball is going to land. They got a lot of fixing to do with this game

  8. great review! I have tried out the game via trial and wasn't a fan of it but will definitely try it out again with an open mind! i've heard most people say that the mechanics are different, which they really are, and once you get used to it for EA, it's not that bad so I will take your word for it and continue to try out the game on the trial run to help me decide if I want it. I love 2K and have faith that 2K will develop great golf games in the future as they continue to improve their game every year, it is really cool that this new golf game rival has started and it will definitely push each company to deliver the best golf game they can make! I can tell EA put a lot of effort into this game because they definitely wanted to make up for it after the epic fail or EA Rory Mcilroy and now that they have a competitor, 2K! Just hope that 2K knows who they are competing with and holds their groudn well against a company like EA!

I feel like the EA mechanics are slower than 2K's but that could also play a factor is fps, I have been playing 2K at 60 fps for over year and a half now and have to get used to playing at 30 fps again.
