UFC 4 doesn’t reinvent the genre, nor does it fully resolve the franchise’s long-standing issues with wrestling mechanics. But it still offers up a fun and rewarding experience, one that manages to capture the visceral excitement of the sport in an experience that is both accessible and rewarding.
Solid fighting mechanics make you feel powerful, while an entertaining career mode offers solid replay value. It may not be a perfect game, but it’s a lot of fun regardless. New and returning players alike can find something to enjoy here, whether you’re an experienced player or new to the Octagon.
Ufc 2 and 3 were a lot better

You can't take created fighters from the career mode online!? How stupid is that? I was really enjoying this game until I found that out. Visually you can, but none of your stats or moves carry over. So why bother learning and developing your character? This is a major L.

This reminds me of what EA has done with Madden. The moves and the game look exactly the same. They change one or two things, maybe the camera angles and they release the product. The fighting graphics and technical moves look rigid and exactly the same…
I wish each fighter felt different…. they had signature strikes that no one else had, for example Muay Thai fighters kick differently than a grappler…. Boxers have better and quicker jabs… Grapplers have better takedowns…. in these EA versions, each fighter feels the same and are the same.

My honest realistic approach for a perfect mma game can have mix of realism and arcade individual move sets and nuances from the fighters themselves closes you recreate iq fight strategies.
Should have it's basics just like any triditional fighting game expand for each fighter. No need to have 100 of fighters if they all fight the same.

It is not fun , it is not an imrovment and everything is complicated now , especially career mode where it takes you fucking 15 minutes of gym mini games just to have one fight in the UFC and then there is a "watch tape" because you cant just see the stats of your opponent , you have to study it… wtf is fun about that !?
The commentary is so fucking stupid and disrespectful … Daniel Cormier and jon must were told that children were gonna play this and not actual hardcore fans Because they talk to you like your a fucking child … When your in the clinch aginst the cage and your fighter is low on stamina and your trying to knee your opponent daniel would say something like "it doesn't matter how much you press that x button your knees wont do any damage " as if im a child not looking for a more realistic feedback so to say .. Or if im losing taking big shot john anik would say something like "wow dc your wipping me " as if those two are playing one another .. The commentary is very cheap its redundant it doesn't put you in the game and its insulting to the hardcore fans… At least joe rogan on ufc3 knew alot more about the fighters and there skills .. Ufc 3 spent more time with the commentary and really put you in the game it felt more realistic so to speak … Ufc 4 is an insult … Were they aiming this towards children only? Who in the fuck would fight with a fucking lion mask on and jean shorts with a fucking gold chain in the octagon? That's so stupid and unrealistic and also disrespectful … The postured up striking feels cheap and unfinished you can't land elbow from the top when your postured up and you can't strike back when your opponent is postured up witch is ridiculous … Who care about the career mode never was a fan of that but that shit is cheaply made and feels lazy and unsatisfying ..
