Hey guys this is a small video showing our addon running.
Our addon adds voice acted quests to world of warcraft voiced by players all around the world. The project is still fresh but we aim to atleast voice all 1-60 zones. I was hoping ai voice with the corresponding voices of the npcs
Actuly sad there are 0 voiced adons ,my sister just started wow but she have problem Reading the quest making the game harder then it should.
I've made some WoW videos of me voice acting quests recently, and then someone told me this addon was a thing back in the day. Definitely a shame it wasn't allowed, not really sure why not. I'm going to voice act some Northrend quests soon, imo it really enhances the quest experience
Too bad this doesn't exist in the game currently. I would love if this worked or if Blizzard would just voice all the quests in the game like this.

this is one add on I would of gladly used. Then go questing in the plaguelands to see what ya did… but blizz wont allow such a thing it seems… which sucks…
I'd play more RPGs without skipping the quest dialogues if they were voice acted tbh.

Honestly if i were you i would continue the project even with the legal threat, they have a similar for starcraft and nothing happened then, you're not making any money with this anyways and the amount of people using the addon is probably will be much lower than the ones not using it. you can also maybe make a big prompt at log in that says somethings like "The content of this addon is nowhere linked to Blizzard and there can be some human mistakes blabla…" that could maybe shield you from stuff. Like how can private servers can get away with owning the server and you gotta take down an addon? nah, start again !

Cant you make this under fansubs umbrella? non profit completely independent. if someone wants it they can have it. Use a pseudonym dont even tell blizzard who you are. They can suck a lemmon for all i care. If they cant take proper care of their own game players should. Voice acting became a staple near 2000's and those cunts cant get on with it in 2020. Most popular gaming franchise, a giant success and they skimp on us on voiceacting. FUCKEM!

Sad thing is blizz will never implement VO in retail because they've got the mmo market pretty much cornered and aren't forced to improve in any way.

Maybe we can try spamming forums and sending Blizz tickets asking to bring this addon back. Reading quest text is so boring, and most wow players are getting old and starting to have vision problems, so hearing the quests is so much easy.

guess I still won't be treating wow as having a story then reading text just sucks blizzard please do something about it heaps of more modern mmos have voice acting I don't know why you can't do it as well it would bring even more interest to wow I'm sure
