My take on making the Ashbringer! 1045 Steel, cast brass fittings and two tone amboyna burl for the handle. Very heavy chopper for my entry in the YouTube knifemaking challenge “Copper” edition!

  1. I’m so glad you mentioned this was just your interpretation of Ashbringer!!! I too have been playing a Paladin for many many years and as we all know Ashbringer is a two handed Retribution weapon!!! LMFAO!!! Great job my friend!!

  2. Idea for a Horror movie: a serial killer kidnaps people and makes them choose a fantasy or movie weapon, he keeps them locked up and forges the weapon from scratch, and kills them with it when finished creating it.

  3. Dude that is amazing!! such an nostalgic feel to this sword, ive always dreamt about having one on game. Now i'm dreaming about having this one in real!!

  4. That’s a cool sword, but it’s a bit of a stretch to call it the Ashbringer. Title would’ve been more accurate if you called it the mini ashbringer.

  5. beautiful blade! I've never seen the sword this is based off but personally id like a taller point profile to keep some stabbing potential and I'd lose the medallion on the spine but thats just personal preference. Still a 10/10 sword.

  6. It feels a little misleading to put its name in the title of your vid without making it clear you haven't gone for a replica. It's looks very little like the Ashbringer, aside from some similar shapes.

  7. Wow ! … a perfectly-executed and edited sword build demonstrating several bladesmithing techniques and methods. The sand castings turned out fantastic. Thanks for the share.
