You say Bardians are supposed to use sword'n'board, but given the importance of motivation, which is triggered per-hit, dual-wielding is a better option for them in a pure support role like group or raid.

i have always felt the 1h shield classes always fell short in MMOs, especially non ever really having a dps type spec with a shield, but the inspiration spec will be my main, I love bard classes buffing teammates, this class alone will make me play this
