  1. definitely decreased damage i like to use the suppressor because it lets me be stealthy but it can let you down against good opponents because their guns are usually unsuppressed and more powerfull

  2. Ah, you're one of those who trust what the game details says. Do not. Suppressors on snipers are completely different from suppressors on other weapons. All snipers have infinite range and do the same damage at all ranges. The suppressors lower the damage, not the range, of the snipers.

Summary: all snipers with suppressors have reduced damage with infinite range, still. All other weapons do not have reduced damage but have reduced range.

  3. yes it does reduce damage, use SVU and go as close as you can to a player and take a headshot without a suppressor its a one shot kill, do the same with the suppressor and it will be two shot kill. proof!

  4. If you suppress a Ballista, I have no idea if it is affected, but its range will still be reduced, meaning that heartscopers will not be impressed by it.

If you suppress an XPR-50 you'll get the same result as the Ballista.

  5. Suppressor affects guns more than that. Take sniper rifles for instance.

SNipers are much more affected by this. The damage multipliers are screwed up and you lose a lot of range with the Sniper.

If you suppress an SVU-AS, you'll see that you can't get a one-shot kill with a headshot, meaning that you'll never get a one-shot kill with a suppressed SVU unless they're slightly damaged.

If you suppress a DSR-50, the damage multipliers require a chest-up kill.
