There's a little house in outer Brennadam in Stormsong Valley with a great fireplace and over a dozen cats sleeping or wandering near it. Easily my favorite fireplace in WoW.
What if the giant bird meat in the fireplaces and kitchens in wow are the remains of the remains of the giant chicken mounts from the wow TCG loot card making the rare nature of a living version of the giant chicken mount that was from the wow TCG.
Also I remember the spectral hunt event that had a special tiger and el pollo grande loot cards as prizes for the tournament when it was almost fully dead under the care of cryptozoic.

About your second point, the Blue Recluse in the Mage district of SW is NOT the only one in the city. There is also the Pig and Whistle Tavern in Old Town. Pig and Whistle is the better of the two because upstairs there is a vendor that sells all the lower recepies that you might have missed from questing.
The poisoned air really does explain a lot about Moonshire.
I was going through one of the farm houses on the outskirts of Stormwind and, bro, the freaking fireplace in the house has no way to ventilate! It was also the house where the girl turned into butterflies! Made me think my character was high from the lack of ventilation.
There is an EPIC fireplace in Halls of Valor on the way to Hyrja.
Kharanos during Brewfest has always been my favorite place to chillout and relax. If wow ever ended id want do sit by the fire in thunderbrew one last time and enjoy a nice brewfest keg..
