  1. A lot of comments are focusing on hero talents as my big criticism which is fair based on this video but my biggest issues with TWW are actually m+ and changes like removal of melee extended range etc.

  2. I thought the old dungeon thing was cool for a season 4 type thing, but I really dislike that they do it every season. As you said, it's a new expansion, I want to do new dungeons. I didn't get the opportunity to do many dungeons in season 1, so there are 4 dragonflight dungeons that I'm just now getting to run as m+ for the first time, yet the expansion is already over and my friends/guildies are gone until TWW.

  3. I mean… they literally cut one patch out of expansion cycle while still charging the same if not more box price.
If that's not rip-off I don't know what is, and people still supporting them.

  4. I am actually looking forward to the new xpac. Re running old content is a thing now, Jesus we have the same game running again, classic – cata. Players like running content they have done before it seems. I think when you step out of wow and experience new games maybe that new things, ideas makes you think more of what wow has. That’s not a bad thing either it’s good to be objective.

  5. Druid hero specs and talent reworks have been a major let down. Look at the rework for fire mage or Windwalker. Those look amazing. Fire also has super fun hero talents. It’s actually wild how much better the game often looks from outside the classes blizzard tends to ignore.

When it comes to FF I played for years but noticed once I was caught up with the MSQ and did the raid I didn’t have any other content left. M+ and pvp keep me playing wow longer at a time than FF can. I also felt like FF was primarily a single player experience for a large portion of it such as when all my friends are just doing story, often in parts that require you to run all over the place talking to people or a part where you cannot play with others. The raids in FF14 are great but I still don’t understand what people do after completing them and being on lockout. But maybe that’s also because I started playing in heavensward and only ended up playing half of endwalkers.

  6. It sounds like the suits are trying to compete with Dawntrail which if Wow isn't up to the task is not going to go well in my opinion since FF14 tests their game very thoroughly.

  7. FFXIV tourists past the tourism hype are such a difficult thing to watch. Brutally uninformed despite hundreds of hours of WoW react content, which is made worse by the godawful company of people that live exclusively through their confirmation bias at the cost of straight up lying to the guy. It's painful, like biting down on a very bitter lemon at times.

  8. I was saying the same thing at the start of Dragonflight. Not getting to do the NEW dungeons right off the bat feels so stupid. I'm not interested in beta testing their changes to older dungeons every season, save that for s2 onwards but give me the new stuff upfront.

  9. Its a shame that the hero talents are so lame. I mean not even the visuals are great on some specs. I thought it was cool when I first heard about it. Maybe some new individual effects for some classes. A different way to play and new abilities. But the more I see of the beta the more it feels like a scam.

Final fantasy does a greater job on new effects on new abilities btw

  10. It’s actually hilarious to see people play other games and realize that wow is actually heinous. Don’t get me wrong I still play wow but once you experience something else it never hits the same and you see all the bullshit that wow is.

  11. 100 percent agree. One of the FANTASTIC thing about playing more than one MMO is having the luxury to wait to come back when something interesting/good drops. Sometimes, for some MMO's, that means waiting until they get all the bug/fixes done. Other times, it can be another expansion or two. The important thing is to just play what you enjoy and makes you happy without feeling obligated. Anyways, thanks for sharing. Have a great week!

  12. Meanwhile new FFIXV expansion next week, maybe one or two more buttons total per job? Rotation doesn't actually change though. No new box features in FF, except the Open world stuff, which they already were doing before. FF eating worse than WoW. They're lucky the raids and story are damn exciting.

  13. I will say as a druid main, fluid form is a nice addition to the normal tree. Now what should of happened is they should of expanded on the shapeshifting aspect of druid. Druid of the claw has so much potential, bear weaving would of been sick. Honestly put me on the team I would of made it happen. Cause personally love being able to switch playstyles from bleed builds to burst bite builds. So druid of the claw would be the burst build shapeshift into bear from to get some aoe mangle procs and what not, instead of the single target mangle shit they have now. It would be a proc that way you arent perma in bear form. Same with wildstalker force us to weave a bit like for every heal ticking we get a increase to dot dmg and vice versa for resto druids cat weaving they would get more healing% for bleeds on enemies. I also think they should add a third hero talent to bridge the last gaps. For ferals it would be feral+balance = call it Druid of the Flame, this would be a mixed play style with owl weaving of course. And for resto/guardian it would be druids of the antler or whatever. This would be good cause you get all types of play styles. You can choose what you want (not really cause meta is a thing but in a ideal world they would be balanced) or they could for meta's one patch it's the bleed build next patch is bite focused, last patch is druid of the flame which is mixed. Or we can get rid of specs in general and just got back to classic wow with a new paint job. For feral specifically those 3 play styles would be nice then any other changes to our play style should come from gear like our tier set with feral frenzy it was a nice change.
TLDR: You are right about hero talents being lack luster, but to cut the dev team some slack they are dumb and dont know what they are doing. Also if they added more buttons that would hurt the game cause button bloat.

  14. As someone who enjoys Feral and has been following you for years, most of those words hit the spot.

While the Demonhunters and Warlocks, as well as Mages, in our guild are incredibly hyped for their new talents my highest feeling is a "meh". I've accepted that Feral will never be meta and that joining pugs is nearly impossible (thought that's also the players' fault to a part) – so why even the rework? Did any Feralplayer in the last years ever go: "Huh, I would really love some less energy regeneration and a mini-rework as well."

I'm just afraid that the specc I learned to love over the past years will not only be a pain to get into keys again but worse – not even being fun to play. So far 90% of people I voiced my thoughts to just say "Ah, it's Blizzard, they will change things before TWW launches." No, I do not have any amount of trust regarding my specc anymore.

But hey, those new Affixes (which are aimed to reduce the classes that are just not taken into M+ on some weeks) will surely help underperforming speccs, Feral will surely suddenly be instantly invited in every key during the +30% bleeding week.

    I'm tired, boss

  15. I wish you good luck in FF . When u start a new game you are in a honeymoon phase with it and everything seems better but if tou played Ff simce it's stted you wouldn't enjoy it that much. Tbere are many Ff players upset about the state of game and they quit to play wow. I am not a 1 game person but wow is still the best MMOvout there amd I am actually liking my hero talents

  16. Dragonflight was already not amazing but accepted because it came after the catastrophe of shadowlands, and many justifiably pointed out it was very shallow on content, didnt have a lot of "meat on the bone",

Now my major concerns with WW is that its going to be just as shallow, hero talents might as well be like having a tierset bonus at all times, thats not very nice as a "big box expac feature", Warbands are Very nice, but they are essentially a big QoL patch, not "content", Delves could even be alright, but they're literally the only feature new in the entire expac that warrants being "a box feature"

This coupled with 50$ base edition(10$ more than SL), and the devs outright saying they will flat out cut the X.3 patch going forward(which means 1 less raid/zone, and the content within)

As well as this incredibly rushed beta cycle(Ill mention the initial raidtesting schedule which had a breakneck pace as well as overlapping with blizzards own m+ tournament!) It all feels off

  17. I'm not excited about the actual gameplay changes from Hero Talents. But I'm kinda excited for the flavor it adds for certain specs (e.g. Sunfurry Mage or Voidweaver Priest). Most of them are really just meh, even when it comes to pure flavor.
I agree that TWW is offering nothing new or exciting for anyone who played Dragonflight. It's basically just an incremental addition to DF. But I haven't played DF at all despite it sounding pretty solid on paper, just because I lost all interest in WoW's narrative. For people like me, TWW sounds like DF systems as is, but with a more interesting storyline. It's worth checking out. But definitely not something I'll play a whole lot, especially given the release window (it coincides with Dawntrail's first Savage tier and the release of GW2's next expansion – both games are worth my time more than WoW).
I'll probably just play TWW occasionally and mostly solo. So, delves are actually something I'm happy about since they might allow me to push challenging content without dealing with premade group bullshit. This is assuming delves are even as interesting or engaging as the other two pillars of PVE endgame. That remains to be seen and I'm not holding my breath, just giving it the benefit of the doubt.

  18. I think those are some valid complaints but I do think that the problem with Hero Talents isn't really an issue with the Hero Talents themselves but rather a problem that WoW and honestly a lot of other MMOs face, and that is trying to update classes every expansion.

It usually starts out fine in the first years of the game but as time progresses it starts being hard and problematic to add new stuff.
If you add too much the class will eventually feel bloated.
So you have several options…. all of which have problems.
The first is just to not add stuff to the classes, problem – people will be mad at you for not adding anything.
Second option, remove stuff to add new stuff, problem – people will be mad that you removed stuff from their class. (FFXIV SAM players will never stop talking about Kaiten until they die)
Third option, and a good chunk of hero talents, add an illusion of change, problem – people will get mad because well you didn't really change anything in actuality.

Again this isn't just an issue affecting WoW. Look at FFXIV DT job changes, majority just got some upgrades to spells that do the exact same thing but number slightly bigger and like an extra damaging button you press once during the burst window and that's it. Gameplay is otherwise, completely or near identical to how it was in EW.

Overall their intention with Hero Talents was good. Don't touch the talent system and instead add an additional system which is also evergreen.
But obviously eventually they will have to remove and change stuff since it will be too bloated if they continue to add stuff.
And I can imagine that creating 39 Hero Talents sounds cool but is way too ambitious especially with the time between expansions not being that long now and them also needing to rework some specs. So some didn't really get cooked.

So yeah, they did do some poor decisions with Hero Talents and how they are made but if they didn't make Hero Talents we would still be having problems with new class additions (or lack of them)

  19. M+ minigame is ok for like… A dungeon a week, maybe 1 a day. Problem is it's too competitive and the gear grind is dogshit in WoW. If i could just mythic raid once I hit max level, I'd definitely resub. Miss me with the 30 hours of making my eyes bleed post-level cap to prep for Mythic raid (per character/class)

  20. The thing I just can't get my head around is that blizzard obviously not only developed this hero talent clusterfuck which – generally speaking – wouldn't be THAT bad of an addition to the game if we wouldn't talk about Blizzard implementing "reinvented" systems we already had (that were partially bad or just decorative like Netherlight Crucible – which sucked, because it had no depth but was there for a reason, Artifact weapon was kinda nice, old talent system abandoned for the new one where things are pathed ridiculously bad in terms of bringing very basic but mandatory skillsets into specific content, …) – all that within a game that has so much issues to be dealt with in terms of gameplay, balance and spec diversity (I intentionally name these in a more general sense) BUT in addition developed and released Hero talents BEFORE they did major changes to specific specs. If you look at hunter for example the entire concept of Hero Talent synergy between two specs is completely über den Haufen gepimmelt as we say in germany.

The major issue is balancing in general yet blizzard decides to keep on adding layers to balancing BEFORE changing the very basis of certain specializations.

But at least they are always listening to their customers unless they play feral druid ofc "We won't adjust feral druid anymore, it will stay exactly as it is now" lul.

  21. I think your kinda missing the point with tww though new expansion new zones new raid new mythic plus dungeons along with older ones adding new and older dungeons into m+ is the way to go & some classes are looking really good in tww df season 4 hasn't been great to be honest giving us season 1 dungeons I think moving forward with hero talents I think it's gonn change the way we play forever

  22. you are right about the passives, i would love to get some new active abilities, the zones are very beautiful and big and the quests and everything is epic but playing again shadowlands dungeons? they shouldn't never mention about SL after what we have suffered, for me grim batol its ok, its dungeon from 2010 and it was reworked, but again playing fucking mists of tirna scithe? please no

  23. This video made me realise its time to unsub this channel. You are slightly out of touch from the wow playerbase. Hero talents make many classes/specs better. You are also contradicting yourself you just made a video about how you like bloodseeker vines minigame

  24. Happy to see people finally having a base to compare and to call out the bullshit that other people just suck up because they only play wow and thats why wow cant be bad….

  25. The features are good, IF they actually stick to them and iterate on them. But they've been so bad at just sticking to something in the past that I'll have to see it to believe it. Just warbands alone could fundamentally transform the alt experience and make every piece of content more rewarding

  26. Bringing back old dungeons should really be kept inside timewalking or maximum one dungeon on top of the new ones… I didn’t like the sl dungeons very much… so my excitement is instantly flattened 😂

  27. I see what your saying and there is some merit in it but let's be honest they listened to the players and now some are unhappy and will give an example. They got rid of borrowed power items that legit screwed up the game and now they add a new talent tree that just enhances for the most part current spells and abilities. I will admit maybe they could have been a little more creative but look what being creative got them for 2 straight xpacs — people pissed off with the game. They cannot win with some people and if this is still the issue around pre-patch then this video seems legit but right now it seems like your just salty for whatever reason. If your not enjoying WOW go to FF and I am NOT telling you to leave WoW just saying no one should ever play a game they are not having fun with cause time is too short to waste time on stuff. I respect your opinion and I am not trying to be rude just giving my opinion and I hope you can find some fun and if it means leaving WoW go for it. I leave WoW for a few months at a time cause it can be boring and the same but I still think it's a good game with some warts but thanks for your content and GL to ya.

  28. I really think they won't change much until release. Dunno why they set up Feedback Channels on the US Forums. I just feel like same at some point like at the prepatch for DF. There were some issues in Beta which got adressed in S2 of DF. New shit came up, things went worse and on and on… I'm tired of playing feral right now.

  29. I resubbed to do hardcore classic. I’ll jump in every now and then (Pandaria remix) but I must say if it wasn’t for the random loot drops I’d have zero interest in WOW. FFXIV will still be my main MMO. WOW is just a disappointment now.

  30. in my humble opinion they should have made the hero talents cosmetic, because blizzard suck at least 50% of the time with balancing ( at least the last time i played back in SL) and they could have made it evergreen for the future and expand upon it

  31. The way I've started to think about it is if we didn't have logs/damage meter would we even know if we had any of these talents? If the answer is no then it doesn't really add anything to the experience.
