—World Of Warcraft Shadowlands Description—

NEW WORLD
THE SHADOWLANDS
What lies beyond the world you know? The Shadowlands, resting place for every mortal soul—virtuous or vile—that has ever lived. Journey through planes of torment and imprisonment to those of rebirth and eternal reward.

NEW PLAYER HUB
ORIBOS, THE ETERNAL CITY
Oribos is the arrival point for all souls who enter the Shadowlands. At this crossroads, the dead are judged by the impassive Arbiter before being sent to their final destinations, and Oribos’ denizens swap gossip and anima—soulstuff that serves as both power and currency.

NEW FEATURE
COVENANTS
Align yourself with one of four Covenants—mysterious sects, each with their own ambition for the Shadowlands—to restore balance to the hereafter.

You’ll gain access to your Covenant’s Sanctum, where you’ll accept unique quests, undertake a sprawling covenant campaign, and call upon your allies to embark on important missions. You‘ll also earn unique abilities based on your Covenant and class, acquire a unique mount and visual appearance, and forge bonds with powerful souls, drawing on their essence to further customize your skills.

NEW FEATURE – INFINITE DUNGEON
TORGHAST, TOWER OF THE DAMNED
Once, the Jailer kept only the most dangerous souls in the cosmos confined in this eternal prison. Now, some of Azeroth’s greatest heroes are trapped here, and you’ll need to rescue them from the Jailer’s tower before he expends their very souls.

Torghast is an endlessly replayable, ever-changing dungeon that you can challenge alone or in a group. Your runs will differ each time, but you’ll need to explore cautiously. Death comes at a terrible cost. Defeat enough of Torghast’s unpredictable challenges, and you’ll be rewarded with unique abilities and items to ensure your present survival or bolster your next run. The further you progress, the greater your likelihood of retrieving materials to craft the legendary weapons and armor that will help you restore balance to the Shadowlands.

Other secrets lie within the tower… but they’re yet to be revealed.

GAME UPDATES
LEVELED-UP LEVELING
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands will smooth out the leveling experience and better prepare new adventurers for what’s to come. Players will level up to 50 before heading to the Shadowlands (new level cap: 60).

We’ve adjusted the experience curve to make it faster than ever to prepare for the newest challenges, and each level along the way will provide more meaningful increases in progress and power. All expansion zones are getting more flexible, too; they’ll be able* to scale to you and your friends while you level to 50, so it’s easy to try a zone you’ve never played.

*You can still outlevel dungeons and crush them for transmogs or fulfillment.

GAME UPDATES
NEW CHARACTER CUSTOMIZATION
In World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, you will be able to become the hero you’re meant to be. All-new customization options for characters will be available, from varied skin tones to facial features, new tattoos, hairstyles, earrings, and more. Just visit your friendly appearance agitator in Oribos, or the local barber shop back on Azeroth. It’s time to give your main a makeover.

  1. What put me off wow was the fact as soon as you get to lvl 50, everything is just pointless, i wanted to start from the very beginning of the game, and get a touch for the story, but once lvl 50 you just 1 hit everything including RAID bosses… so long as it isnt part of the later expansions… I don't know if im just getting muddled up, but the game is hard to track for a new player. and not satisfying at all once you hit that mark, despite there still being absalotley tons of content to do. Just feels weird. Unless things have changed and EVERYTHING cales to you, I don't think i'll bother…

Shame too, I really enjoyed the experience, like REALLY enjoyed it. but the 1 hitting mobs and bosses thing once at a certain level…. that killed the entire game for me because I wanted to experiance the entire thing raw.

ESO has a good leveling system, the best I've seen. One that doesn't obscure you from any quest line or expansion.

  2. so i tried WoW right before Cataclysm released. made it to 60 (out of 80 i think) over a couple of weeks and that was it. honestly, the graphics were a big thing that turned me off. I've just never liked them. that and the sub. im not a big MMO person. my one and only MMO and the only one i've ever even reached level cap in is GW2. at this point, it would take a lot for me to jump ship from that to another MMO, because even though I've played since launch, I STILL have things that I want to do lol.

  3. I've never beaten the battle for Azeroth story, but I do have characters that have made it past the main story of the base game (before Cataclysm), and those characters, as well as the new ones I've created on the same server are allowed to choose their story through Chromie after the Shadowlands expansion.

  4. The requiring to do BFA on the new realm is not true you went to far into the questline for that area so you had to advance it a little bit then go back to chromie to switch xpac's.

  5. Like this so new players can read –

Reader, If you play WoW, know that 5 years of play costs $900, "that's a long time, I might not play that long" you may say – however it is documented truth that they abuse addictive mechanics to keep consumers engaged, it is the same, 16 bit game that came out in 2004, however now it is littered with microtransactions, boosts and anti-social mundane gameplay. Blizzard as a company is absolutely notorious for not listening to players regarding gameplay, and they hardly update the game. Minor content updates are released at minimum every 4 months(have been left with no updates for 10+months before – they're also a $22 billion dollar company.
In short, supporting WoW – don't bother, save your money. World is genuinely better for it, Blizzard are the McDonalds of the videogame world and deliver a shit, dead horse with no straw.

    Yo, Peon:
I feel like you're ethically compromised if you even mention WoW, considering your video niche bro.
Positivity towards anything WoW related from you has the power to give it another few months of life. Let it die, Peon. xo

  6. I went into the dungeon instance on an alt and got matched with a totally fresh player, he was a mage and he went to solo the boss by himself as me and the npcs were still fighting trash.

Needless to say he died, and I think he learned an important lesson that day.

  7. Man, I thought I was recording my new character creation through level 10 and got done and damn if it quit recording after 5 mins. Was going to show my brother to convince him to play with me lol

  8. All these updates are certainly improvements, im sad to say its still a bottom-tier MMO imo. No real player interaction at all, game is basically ran around 3rd party addons. It just isn't an MMO at all, nothing but a mindless grind. Might aswell be a singleplayer lobby game/dungeon crawler.

  9. I really want to get back into WoW, but just like any other MMO that adds expacs it's just too expensive just to "try" the game again.
It's probably me that has access to too many games that are just cheaper per month and that are in their current expac then buying into WoW, but it still bothers me a bit. Over monetization is also what made me quit Runescape. Luckily TitanReach seems just in my alley, so I am waiting for that to be in a finished state!

  10. This change I really enjoy it fast leveling I'm about 2 weeks in at my pally is lvl 47 last time Played wow was when Cata was release so still a newb so.much has change I'm on zul'jin I think that's what's its called my only issue I ran into I can't find a guild 😭

  11. For character creation, check in on the non-human options. Only Humans and Orcs got a ton of stuff, and some races got very little. Not gonna affect the new player experience much so not the core point of the video, but it left a lot of returning players disappointed!

  12. Seriously, that's what the fuss is all about? this WoW? just the puerile need to level up, level up, level up non stop? Nothing but the levels? Walking around banging things for level ups? god…I just feel so depressed thinking about it, the idea that millions play this thing for level ups. Wooo! You online gamers are beyond infantile.
