1:35 the chords awesome. I just try to imagine the compositor, the orchestra, and all music team playing this magical song. The vocal, all of it Is simple magic.
Ulduar was the last raid the founding devs of WoW worked on before being transferred to Project Titan.
Recent raids have been Okay – but the only tier I think even came close to Ulduar was T11 – the first tier of Cataclysm – and even that was nowhere near Ulduar in feel.
Hardmodes triggered in-fight needs to come back. There's too much disconnect from gameplay with toggling hard and normal with the interface.
What made Ulduar so successful was that it had great music, great bosses, a story line that followed through the entire raid, and it was so huge. You felt like you were actually making a difference, because it took you so long. The fact that you simply could not complete this in one day is what did it for me. I felt that, every day, we were taking down Ulduar piece by piece.
Ulduar has, in my opinion, the best music of any raid. (Only thing coming close to it is Kara) Ulduar was also my favorite raid of Wrath of the Lich King, and one of my favorite raids of all time.

I made one Light in the Dark at the WotLK.
Yogg Saron still gives me night mares.
After that we managed to RP run the raid.
