What a powerful song, ay? ⚓ I’m so proud of the direction I took, leaning into my Bulgarian cultural singing 🥺 I loved every second of working on this project:
the idea of even going for this behemoth of a song (one of Blizzard’s best works in my humble opinion!) felt like a weighty responsibility & I dare to say I absolutely did it justice;
deciding to ask @VyhrYglik and @skrezh to collab on it (they make some really good sailors! 🤭);
building up the harmonies~ and recording every layer to make it feel as full, and as grand as possible;
and lastly editing everything together was extremely satisfying!

I feel like it’s definitely my best work as of yet, and I’ve learned a lot from this project! I’m excited to do more!!! (maybe something a little less depressing next time! Although remember that this is sung from the POV of the nation, who didn’t get the full version of the story and believe that a racist man was actually good and not trying to exterminate the peaceful orcish population!)
