Shadowlands was a tumultuous time for the WoW community. It has to have been one of the most polarizing times in WoW history, with many people leaving the game dissatisfied with the gameplay and the story. I myself have enjoyed Shadowlands very much and have followed the story closely, and so this video will be telling you pretty much all the big points of the story that you should know going into Dragonflight in a few months time.
Thanks for watching! 🙂
Our boy played Shadowlands so we didn't have to!
Hey I'd have accepted Sylvanas besting Fordragon if she earned it, but she didn't. Like her suffering doesn't mean she's earned it. She was never stronger than the Lich King. She was made BY him after all. The problem was Zo'val and the bullshit Mary Sue stuff. And talk about fucking feminism? Like she's a strong woman who overcame the big man, but fucking turns out she couldn't do it without another man's help anyway, so where's this strong independent queen the weirdos fawn over?
I remember why I stopped at cataclysm. Warcraft had a unique storyline up until wotlk. Now it just a marvel copy. Judgement? That is such a marvel ripoff it aint even funny. No story is worth it anymore after wotlk
thanks! I left the game during legion and recently came back to play MoP remix, and was thinking very hard of getting dragonflight, but since I have to buy the War within to get it ive been iffy since I dont know what the hell is going on story wise haha. I think this helped!
Disappointed with both Blizz and the story, I had given up a little bit before the Battle of Ardenweald. Thank you for filling the rest up in such a well-told and concise manner, that I could go straight to the Dragon Isles!
i tried to listen but ur accent is horrible – i couldnt understand anything
I liked shadowlands a lot, it looked like blizzard was trying to put the trama in something more multiverse oriented with the jailer being the new boss. But mid expansion they changed of plans like they did with wod.
Shadowlands Story? What story?
Dog this story is terrible. I remember now why i left the game. Legion was great but this almost killed the franchise
Wait, are we supposed to agree with Sylvanas here? Because I agree with her. I've never made it past the first zone in Shadowlands before I hit 60 and leave, but man that zone seems like it's full of wackjobs. Just abandon everything about yourself! You don't need friends, family, memories, nope!
much appreciated, good looks.
Perfect, thx a lot!
Fantastic overview of Shadowlands story bro! Good job!!! I quit Shadowlands around 9.1 so this really helped me understand it all before I jump into Dragonflight. Which I am doing so right now 🙂
A really good summary of the story.
Sylvanas did nothing wrong
Loved this vid, thanks man. Subbed.
"I was not one of those people."
I'm so sorry for your loss.
I didnt think the Story was bad. Maybe yes the Jailor was basicly Thanos who gathered the 5 stones. But the Story around the mainstory was totaly stunning. The Uther Story where absurdly enjoyable. Also that we did get Ysera back and stuff like this. totaly where hyped there ^^
great summary man!
This makes so much more sense. Thank you for organizing the retcons and new lore into a coherent video.
😀
Ok, great summary. Tons of background that, when you're told over the course of 25 years in bits and pieces, you totally can't hold onto. Nice context. The entire story of Warcraft is incredibly disjoined and complex with hundreds of characters and man, so hard to follow. Legit, their story writers must have a 4-year degree in Warcraft Lore from Vivendi University.
Nicely done, and I enjoyed your accent!
but why?
wow, that story was absolute garbage. . ..
Great video! I haven't played since BFA and now I'm jumping on the dragonflight bandwagon this really helped thank you
I feel like when the story is told like this it sounds way better than what players think of it. However, WoW is a complex and deep story just like Lord of the Rings, so keeping up with wow is almost more challenging than when I had to learn medical terminology. But I still love WoW, so yeah, thanks for the simply and easy update!
