2k23 lacking? Personally i love 2k23. I started with the original PGA tour on the Genesis. After seeing the first reviews I'm on the fence with PGA tour. That swing sound effect sounds like it comes straight from the genesis!! lol!!
I agree with the UI. I always turn off as much as possible to make it as simulation as I can. Also when did Jordan Spieth get on roids

Ea Rory game was the best golf game and more fluid than the rest
Played a bit of the 10 hour release, and I'm very disappointed. Character creation is a 4/10, and overall gameplay felt arcady and very much on rails. It has crashed 3 times in the past hour, and I take major FPS drops running on a system with a Ryzen 9 5900x and RTX 3070. Unless they put out some updates, I hate saying this but 2k is the better golf game.
Played it today and the game play is horrible let's just be honest. Especially coming from playing 2K
Finally someone else said it. Every shot sound, sounds like a hybrid shot. The player will hit a wedge and sounds like a tingy driver. Not to mention how awkward the apex gameplay was 😂
2k will always be a $20 game in my mind. When 2k first came out back in the day those games were cheap $20 games..and they still are but with a higher price.
I just don't get why Series X and PS5 are getting 30fps. We should be pushing 120fps on these console but instead they're going backwards….makes no sense
The concept of The Golf Club went out the window once they added (2K) PGA players and arcade style play. The Golf Club was originally designed for true sim play and be yourself with a great golf course creator. All HB Studios needed to do is add a great muti player lobby, improved course creator, enhanced graphics and better true sim play through time.
Hopefully things get tweeked a little bit more down the road in some updates…especially with the drivers. And some rain would be nice down the road also.
I’m really excited for this game. It’s been a while since Iv been excited for a golf game to be released.
I’m slightly concerned now though…From the video…the sounds of the ball strikes do sound pretty awful tbf and also the putter looks really steep when putting too.
Massively, I hope the ball physics are a improvement from other golf games…but from the clips Iv seen so far, I’m not so sure they will be much change.
Like one of chips onto the green…Bounce bounce and the ball takes off 100mph
I guess we’l all just have to find out for ourselves in a couple of days.

Why is putting look like it’s a chipping setup?
I think the sounds sounding muffled is because they aren’t using great recording software because they aren’t playing at their home setups
agree, the swing speed just looks WEIRD. Too slow on the backswing, follow through 100 mph. and the sound of contact is horrible, how hard can it be to get some recordings of actual golf shots?
Personally think the game looks great, been waiting a long time for EA to make a golf game again, I’ve played 2k21 and 2k23 and they just don’t do it for me, I’ve even pulled the PS2 out again and played Tiger Woods 03 and 04 because I think they’re still the best golf games imo

The swing speed can be adjusted to preference. The sound changes depending on what clubs you use. all your doing is complaining and you haven't even played the game yet. if all your going to do is complain than stay with 2k23 and let the real golfers play this game.
You really do have to wonder why the devs would choose to play the easy settings. -6 on 9 holes appeals to no one.

2K have no clue about adding ANY instance of CPU AI into a game, EA do. Enough said. And yet u lot are worried about "how many bags" "the audio" "the swings". Fuck off, they are Easy to update by EA further in, how simple is the intelligence in some of you??? Its all about having them CPU AI opponents in a Golf Games and 2K left them out as they are lazy fecking wankers.
From watching the trailers over the past month, I felt the swing speeds were a little down, but they have a tempo option in customization for your own golfer. Who knows the difference it’ll make? I think the tempo on 2K is more on par with your pros, and these ones seem to be more similar to amateur golfers.
The sound was the first thing I noticed in this walkthrough too, and I think they went with the impact sounds you would hear watching on TV rather than what you would hear in real-life swing [opinion].
No you shouldn’t be worried there is no course creator big L it’s to arcade like pga2k23 is more simulation like all EA has in the advantage is the Graphics department it’s all about gameplay don’t care about how pretty it is it has to have good gameplay that’s what matters.
