Has Mongoose Bite Been Fixed??? 🏹 | The War Within | World of Warcraft



Mongoose Bite has AGAIN been reworked in The War Within, and today I will share my thoughts on it! We have received a few improvements, and I’m looking forward to hearing peoples opinion on it. 🙂

  1. Looks superrr clunky jeez, I want survival to be good since its a good concept but prob not this xpac its looking like. They need to just make it all melee since they did this with outlaw and introduced the stupid dice and pistol and ruined that too similar to this, like USE THE DAMN PET SOMEHOW instead of giving it passive nodes.

    I think there is alot of potential, they can do the same thing they are trying to do waaaay less complex. I like my specs engaging and hard to master but never annoying.

  3. I really wanted a heavy bleed/dot and bomb build for sv hunter. Bleed dmg and dots just aren’t there. Sv is good, don’t get me wrong, but this is not the direction I wanted them to take sv hunter at all. Bleeds/dots, bombs, traps, and good kiting abilities is what I wanted

  4. Stronger, yes but I still don’t like it. Weaving kill commands is not fun or engaging. I personally think kill command doesn’t fit into the survival hunter archetype at all please just remove it.

  5. It is still stupid unfortunately, the whole mechanic is pointless considering the direction they took the spec in the rework. I do not understand why we get ONE melee ability that is instantly changed to another to replace it in our talent tree, just so we can spam that ONE ability and be classified as a melee class when our toolkit is 90% ranged.
    Why didn't they make the SMART change, and change Mongoose Fury to be a buff that stacks to three with each Raptor generating a charge of mongoose fury, and after getting to the third charge we gain Mongoose Bite, AN ADDITIONAL MELEE ABILITY that we can hit that then does the damage equivalent to double that of raptor strike with a bonus like 50% increased chance to crit or applies bleed for 100% of its damage over x seconds.

    This would have made MUUUUCH more sense as it gives us an additional ability to hit in melee AND allows us to actually dump focus on an ability without caring about it consuming ToTS, then build back fury with KC and dump it on something like Mongoose Bite, Bomb, Explosive. I do not understand why anyone would want mongoose fury to stay as it is, it being a ramp the way it is, is basically pulling two different priority systems in different directions, either bomb/explosive or mongoose. In the heat of pvp you are going to eventually find yourself losing a crap ton of damage trying to mix this shit together or focusing on one. They f'd it all up in my honest opinion, and everyone will find out sooner or later that it will NOT work.
