Take a nostalgic journey as I resurrect the iconic Ironforge from World of Warcraft using the formidable Unreal Engine 5. With meticulous attention to detail, I meticulously modeled the majority of assets in this scene, seamlessly blending them with Megascan resources and crafting custom materials with Substance.
Unreal Engine 5’s groundbreaking features, including lumen reflections, lumen global illumination, nanite, and an enhanced rendering engine, have allowed me to breathe new life into Ironforge, surpassing my previous Unreal 4 rendition. Leveraging the power of an RTX 4090, I’ve rendered this masterpiece in stunning 4k at 60 FPS.
My vision for Ironforge embraces an atmosphere shrouded in darkness, illuminated solely by the warm glow of its internal fires. Each asset is painstakingly positioned to mirror its in-game counterpart, meticulously recreated to ensure an authentic layout. The city’s blueprint was derived from Ironforge’s map, serving as the foundation for an exacting replication.

Everything seems wet, the texture for stone is too reflective. Everything looks like shiny metal.
its so beautiful
Looks quite plastic.
Wish I could some day play world of warcraft like ready player one😭😭
Great work! This looks absolutely amazing, but if your taking requests, could you do black rock depths/shadow forge city. My god imagine suramar in unreal engine….
they want another 30 years .. well here its how it can start !!!!!!!!!
I will give you credit for a great looking UE5 showcase. But the issues I see are to much reflectivity through out the inside of IF. The walls and everything on the inside are made from stone and not gold
Какой ужас,в игре и то красивее,а это словно на компе с плохой видео графикой смонтировали на быструю руку
Wooowww. Really love how the details and textures oddly the floors and columns look! Super impressed by the fire pit aesthetic, moving gears/pistons/lava, and deep run tram was such a great finally! Now i want to take a ride through the tram in unreal 5. I will say that IF here we SUPER contrasty which even made it hard to see interior blacks/shadows and outside at night. Otherwise phenomenal! Id play for HOURS if these graphics were realized and implemented!
I wish all you guys who recreated a part of the classic WoW could team up and make it accessible for the world to play! I would LOVE to run these places in such a perfect way. Just playing classic… BTW my jaw dropped in the beginning and I couldn't close my mouth till the end! I loved travelling with the train between IF and SW!!!
playing wow again in SoD after 10 years. bc of inbalance i had to play horde. god i miss the ally citys so much. there fr soooo much better
Crazy…back in the day before all the extras were added, half the WOW world, at least the Alliance half, called this place home. It's practically deserted now…kind of sad really.
I remember the first time walking up to Ironforge Was a LVL 12 Night elf hunter my first toon. I feel sorry for all the players that never got to see all of this in the beginning the mystery the wonder. I did not even know there was a AH had no clue.
Something’s off. It looks more like a WC2 cinematic renders. Frankly, worse than WoW version.
Kinda funny how a IRL Ironforge would be completely inhospitable
Fair job done, no doubts, and thanks for this experience. Anyway, can't ignore the fact that you might have lost city's quarters specific. They all look completely the same what changes city's appearance a lot. So i'd be glad to see new features of that stuff one day. Thanks!
Great work but this is terrible. Do you not think blizzard would have made an Everquest 2 style MMORPG if they wanted? This in our lifetime or the next would never happen. Blizzard has their own style of art and that is why WoW looks the way it does.
WoW! Just WoW! Look me up in Dalaran under "Unitywalker". It was a nostalgic trip for me. Maybe someday this can go VR.
This brings out details I've never noticed in all my years of playing Alliance. Superbly done.
Thats not IF!
no pasa nada.
Imagine if Blizzard made Wow 2 in UE5 :O
this almost looks to me like an old warcraft 2 cinematic lol. sorry..
This looks incredible
Impressive! Well done <3
Wish I can load File and play current wow on these graphics!
soulless
As a Vanilla player..20 plus years….the shiny, doesn't reflect the true game experience.
10/10 would jump back and forth across the lava moat while waiting for queue to pop
The whole game should be in UE5! If it was I would never log out.
I find it funny that people say that Wow graphics are bad or that they would return if it looked this good. I began WoW at release and played for a couple of years before moving on. I've returned a few times since then and just recently came back for Dragonflight. I was sub 70 so I went back and leveled up the normal way though Kul Tiras zones, The region where you create your own garrison, and a little of legion areas. Now I'm in the Emerald Dream. Let me say that I feel a lot of people either really didn't experience much outside of sitting in town waiting on dungeons to pop or you've drank the cool aid that WoW is just bad for whatever reason. The zones I've recently traveled and quested through were really beautiful and detailed in WoW's art style. Normally I prefer the real, gritty, and dark graphic style similar to what's in this UE5 video but if I'm being honest it's still really good and they seem to get better each expansion. Flying over zones I've never spent much time in previously was a great experience and I saw a lot of POIs that looked incredible. If you've forgot, jump on a flying mount and just roam around. I think you'll see it's better than most remember.
I feel my computer is dying from me just looking at these graphics
