I mean, not gonna lie, I'm still with Moocluck.
Shadowlands isn't so great, it's April and we're still stuck in 9.0. And Classic is kinda boring.
Like, Crom is hyping it as a new game, but it IS the same game from 2004, not even remastered. They could've added options like the WoD player-models, re-worked some set-textures and models, added the water shader from Cataclysm, etc etc.

Classic was a blast for me when it was brand new to 7 months later. I'm assuming it's quite dead now or full of bots and people trying to make gold with "runs"
Having a good time with Shadowlands but the daily and weekly chores are starting to get stale for me.
Eh no, they are both equally shitty for different reasons. Classic because it's old and outdated, and Shadowlands because no challenge and rewards for nothing.
If classic was the same, but improved, like actual class balance, and optimization, then ok, classic would be fine.
If Shadowlands (or modern wow in general) was given some form of difficulty, and you had to work for your stuff, then Shadowlands would be fine
So in short, blame Blizzard for their incompetence and laziness

Started playing WoW for the first time 6 days ago and made it to 56 mage and 41 priest. Such an easy game, im just ticking boxes, not actually using my brain or talking to people to achieve anything. Im really not that impressed by what i've played so far; it just feels like a longer more grindy version of Diablo 3. So far WoW is a completely single player game, with aspects of a MMO thrown in and some surface level teamwork aspect in dungeons and later raids. Coming from EverQuest, where your class has one job to do, and you really cant do anything else, so playing solo is really difficult except for a couple select classes – to do anything, you need to LFG for a few minutes to a few hours, so having a guild to get together and spend time together is a very worthy endeavour. Tank, DPS, heal, and CC/slowing, pick one to do. I miss classic EQ, it's just such a better game for the social aspect and teamwork, it's just a shame it's not nearly as polished as WoW, and has no population by comparison.
If anyone really does want a more teamwork oriented, actual MMORPG as they were supposed to be, Project 1999 EverQuest is the best experience youll have down that road.
