A clarification/correction on the character select screen:
All of your characters on the account will display on the sidebar, with your currently selected realm's characters at the top. The suggestion remains though: select the realm your most used characters are on to ensure the normal load time. Logging on to a character different from the select realm causes a short delay while the game switches realms for you.
Not a huge deal, just a bit obnoxious.
I'm gonna be laughing historically if all those spend almost double for the three days of early access end up staring at a maintenance notification for 90% of it. Judging by how much jank there is in the pre-patch and the absolute 🐕💩 GUI they choose to use for the character menu. Not surprising though considering MSFT laid off most of the QA testers whose sole job was to tell the dev team how garbo things are.

it's patch day! the camera macro isnt' working FYI. Unless my "copy / paste" is broken // 2 mins later: WAIT! it works, but not everywhere…
Expect a giant screen with everything offline, because they haven't learned how to deploy a patch properly after 20 years.
