Classic Era was a version of WoW made when we progressed to TBC at the end of Vanilla, and it serves one purpose – provide a No Changes environment for Vanilla enjoyers who don’t want seasonal servers / future expansions.
And it worked perfectly well at doing that… until the other week when Blizzard decided to push some changes on to these servers, leading to quite the reaction.

OSRS is NOT a good example of a good development model with the polls. the community is cut between PvM and PvP players and most polls dont go through because of petty voting of the other party. PvPers will vote no for PvM updates, and vice vers. in WoW its just gonna be worse

I logged in for the first time in 6mos and it took me forever to find my friends tab. The new social/guild tab is really annoying and yes, take up 3/4 of your screen.

How interesting the Classic #nochanges crowd has no problem with removing PvP rank decay
It's not a flawless system, but what about making the voting an ingame process? For every issue you can vote once per account, and some issues will only be available to be voted on by the faction it affects (such as Might of Stormwind), but voting is still an ingame process.
I realize there's issues such as horde players making lvl 1 alliance characters just to go and vote against an alliance-only issue, so maybe a level cap is required or something. And after all, if you do have a 60 alliance and horde player, shouldn't you be allowed to vote on both factions issues?

I suspect Blizzard reinstituted the 6 hour time limit for the NPC reapplying the rallying cry of dragonslayer buff to call players out for hypocrisy if they complain about that change being reverted back to way it was in vanilla while simultaneously insisting that Alliance players should have to jump through a ton of hoops to get the warchief's blessing buff just because that was the way it was in vanilla. Both are quality of life changes related to getting worldbuffs that weren't present in the original game, so if you're against one you should logically be against the other as well.

The fundamental problem with classic + is that the player base is divided between classic, retail, and whatever the rolling classic server is at the time. And classic players are split further about changes, no changes, and so on. It's like everyone wants a new box of crayons bit is upset it's not their favorite color.
SoD will more than likely become an evergreen server so like it love it or hate it it is classic+ after the immense criticism it's recieved botched handling and implementation does anyone trust that blizzard can successfully make a classic+
The no changes crowd want fresh servers and to keep them fresher longer they should come with all the bot prevention from SoD no chat, trade, mail, or auctions for new accounts in the first 30 days and ban gdkp. Take low pop pvp and pve realms and transfer existing character elsewhere and reset those realms 2 realms for na 2 for eu.
I have no idea why people struggle with this. If they want to change or add something, do it in SoD.
Classic Era is supposed to be left alone.
I didn't feel any type of way about the polearms change for Druids, but I wish they would have just added a regular rez to Druids instead lol.

I stopped playing wow halfway through wow classic not long after the token came out
Voting for stuff that can effect both sides are things both sides have, like druid polearm, chronoboon displacer, turning in any world buff cooldown, and so on
I fucking hate the WoW Community, all flavors, these are great changes to make it seem like something the OG team would’ve wanted but ran out of time to implement but instead just whine hard enough to get them out. Didn’t ruin the Vanilla feel, only made things better (aka no clunky “exploits” with Warchief’s Blessing), but instead just hate any change whatsoever to get them reverted.
The UI thing I can agree with, I don’t like the Cata guild UI.
