Didn’t really think about it but you’re right. Recruiting isn’t necessarily needed id invest into the OL/DL but after that you can get guys without maximizing recruiting

I shared your thoughts exactly with the player develpment points.
It wouldnt surprise me if they originally intended for players to be manually upgraded but felt they had to shelve it for some reason.
Evidence of this to me is in the motivator skill tree, there are a lot of boosts to player xp for in game goals. But the way the game works no ingame player performance goals are communicated and exp gained from them is completely opaque and uncommuncated to the point that those perks can feel ineffective.
I think they changed/removed some features late in the development cycle and their omission makes parts of the game feel half baked.

I get that you WANT to upgrade (and edit) your players but can you please stop saying "I don't know why we can't…" Because you are the coach and you cannot recreate people as you want them to be. If you could mold everyone to what you wanted, what would be the point of recruiting?

I love your work here, DM but as a coach I can't believe you would say that. I hope you don't take your slot receiver and force him to be a #1 or sit your Power rusher because he's not a Speed guy. I know you're better than that.
I think a lot of people invest in recruiter and don't understand recruiting so yeah they should probably go this route but when you understand it recruiting is busted. Alot of info on YouTube about recruiting is bad right now. It's all about taking uncontested prospects or insta-commit spam, not how to actually win prospects quickly and snowball to the next one. The more people that go after a prospect the faster they sign and the less weeks ur spending points on them. Haven't seen one video on setting up a 4 recruit visit (with bonuses) on week 3-4 rivalry games yet.
I don’t wanna be that guy but what is the point of this video? I believe from your tone this is a franchise you actually play week by week so obviously putting up ridiculous stats isn’t that impressive. You literally just say to pick the skill tree that gives more stats bc more stats = better but that’s not the case at all😂. Yiu are physically playing the games so it don’t matter if you got a 99 ovr wr or a 65 ovr reciever if they are open they are open. Offense is really EZ in this game especially if you have speed at most positions. I’m just very confused after watching this video? You really didn’t say anything of substance and it was 15 min dude. Yes, fun fact human beings are better than AI in a video game……… CRAZY. Maybe someone can correct me in the responses to my comment but this video felt like a nothing burger, maybe if your brand new to the game it would be helpful but even then that’s a stretch. When playing with Arkansas does your helmets turn white with no logos in the season? I did a road to glory with them and it started off as just the QB then the majority of the offensive by the end. I also played against them around week 5 with ECU and the QB helmet was all white.
While I didn't start with Tactician I did buy most of the traits and every coordinator I get has those boost. I am getting the +4 boost from my OL and secondary and it's huge when they stack with other coaches

the xp the players gain is how they level up their ability tiers from bronze to silver to gold to platinum

upgrading your assistants and players would be nice but I like the aspect it brings to the game not being able to, its like having someone on your staff or team with their own personalities
