Why do people want photorealism so badly in an immersive fantasy role playing game? There's a lot to be said for graphics that are deliberately and clearly a unique and foreign visual experience. I don't want to lose the reminiscence of the graphical era that bore world of warcraft. Do they need to remain "outdated"? Not necessarily but I enjoy the visual escape from reality personally.
I don't want to sound like an ass guy (although I appreciate them a lot), what the hell is wrong with that female model! It looks like she broke her lower back and her hips and groin area looks like a plastic surgery gone terribly wrong.
if they make wow in unreal engine 5 i would play. biggest reason i dont play wow is because it looks weird and vintage

If the high resolution going to screw the "Interactivity" with the game, then screw the high resolution.

Not trying to bitch about anything, just wanted to mention that the title of this video is a bit misleading imo: You didn't recreate WoW in UE5 – you made a forest map in UE5.

Please consider this as constructive criticism, because again, you did NOT recreate WoW in UE5 – you have no HUD, you have no mechanics. You have a couple mobs and you have damage numbers – and that is where the similarities end.
I certainly hope Epic Marketplace comes up with better character models. I mean, here is Blizzard, being blasted into oblivion and hemorrhaging players because of the sexual harassment of women in their workplace, and you do a display from Epic Marketplace with a 'hunter' in stiletto heels, skin tight pants with a bubble butt, complete with a wildly unrealistic thigh gap and massive breasts that literally droop over her bow arm. Not to mention the plunging neckline top, but the plunging neckline top is …lol, over the top.
The concept is gorgeous, but if all it's being done for is to further objectify and sexualize the women in game, I'd rather pass. This is not how I want to play my game.

After the lawsuit has been published and in the public spotlight for months. I'm gonna say you haven't been paying attention to WoW news, or you just don't play it.
Don't get me wrong, I'm all for the slutmog. I have a toon that is specifically just for playing around with wardrobe like a pixel dolly. Pretty much the only ones running around in slutmog these days are teenage boys discovering their junk for the first time.
Great video. UE5 is out of my area of expertise but this has high potential great as my seen still, extremely high texture with good FPS in console, the world scale must be excellent with this Lumen light system, I can imagine how wonderful UE5 working with world of warcraft is, especially in some dark scene like the dungeon STOCKS, or some places in night! I feel sick when I play high resolution 3D games like resident evil, but not this one, it is good for me so far. I hope World of warcraft II will born IN UE5 but I don't think it will happen, Bllizard Microsoft have to create their own game engine I bet.
If Microsoft/Activision Blizzard ever do something like this, it has to be noted that the hardware required to run these kind of graphics means the game would be available to a very small audience.
WHere as Blizzard is all about player engagement, getting as many players to play as much as possible, hence the frequent store mounts locked behind 6 month subscription paywall, so if a game doesn't have a large playerbase, high demand, it's unlikely to happen. Besides, seeing as more people, including myself, play Classic/TBC…graphics have never been important in WoW, if anything, old graphics is the charm of WoW.
We need to unite and petition Microsoft and Blizzard to get on it. If we all came together and petition for it I bet it could become a reality.
