I would be doing the night elf racial quest over, and over, and over, and over . . .
us chad gamers want to pick our ideal aesthetic without sacrificing power It's time to re invent the racial system let gigachads choose the race they want to play and either remove them or make it a secondary choice! also let paladin play any race pls that would be cool XD this would also make designing new races to pick easier as you wont have to design new racial passive/actives they can just add it in as pure aesthetic and call the racial abilities something else as a core wow mechanic/system

No!Just make the racials more powerfull and problem solved.This game is fun and different because it is not all the same…if you give people what they want when they ask they get bored and want more and more and more and neverending circle…in the old days on classic vanilla you did not have fly mount for example and it was GOOD..so stfu and play ur fking game as it supposed to be played and enjoyed…the way it is!

I think they did this well for pvpers allowing the trinket to give you 10% cc reduct so you could play whatever you want. But with pve who knows what they could do honestly.
Simpler solution: Just delete all racial abilities that affect gameplay. Been saying this since 2008.
They should allow us to already just chose whatever class/spec combination and racials would be changed to something else like "chosen powers" (since we all are chosen champions of whatever nowadays). Also allow every race play on which ever faction or just remove factions since the game is not about warcraft anymore, it's about saving the planet from more and more boring enemies. Make warmode to be toggleable everywhere with long casting time and removing time. And put pvpers and pvers in same plane of existence.
I agree with the visage form being whatever race you wanted, since I kinda thought that’s how it was gonna be anyway, and I would like to see more race/class combos, but I’m not too sure on the racials thing myself, since I just choose whatever race I want to anyway

Yes let Evoker choose their own visage form makes no sense that they can't. As far as racials go, I think that's a great idea! Except only meld can be nelf cuz nelf is bis tyvm

Shadowlands, covenants, azerite items really broke people's brains it seems. Miss wow when each class and race felt uniquely different and not just in spell names and animations, like now, where everyone does the same thing with different spell names since like wod
I don't agree with this. I know you said hot take, but genuinely i think the game loses more and more identity, and the players more so individually by doing this. That is a very critical and important aspect of the game that basically bleeds over into everything a person does in the game on their character.
Truth of the matter is, that most players pick a race because of transmog, past that they might choose a race for racials but not for the edge over the opponent.
Racials don't matter in mythic+ unless you're pushing 22-25's which less than 1% of the population is, it doesn't matter in raid unless you're a top 1% player doing mythic prog raiding, and it doesn't matter in pvp unless you're at a level of skill where you need that edge, which yet again is less than 1% of the population of the game, and a lot of these different types of gameplay actually come from the same players. A lot of your mythic prog raiders also happen to be top pvp players.
The fix to this is changing racials.
Evoker's technically have the most insane racials ever conceived because of Drakthyr racials.
It doesn't make sense for them to be available for everyone and it would be absurdly stupid broken if everyone else had access to it.
