  2. It seems to me that Jr's strategy was similar to last years 2000 Winston 500: Lead at the end. His move on the final lap was identical to the 2000 race. The only difference was that Sr won in 2000, and Jr finished umpteenth. Take a look at the 2000 finish.

  3. GREATEST. FINAL LAP. EVER.

Also, nowadays, the finish of the race would have been determined by the order of the cars when the yellow light flashed, rather than racing back to the caution. BRING THAT BACK, BRAINDEAD FRANCE, PLZ!!!! YOUR GENIUS GRANDDADDY AND DADDY MUST BE REAL FUCKING PROUD OF YOU ABOUT HOW YOU CHANGED NA$CAR-AW, FUCK IT, THEY'RE ROLLING OVER IN THEIR FUCKING GRAVES!!!!!

  4. This was back before Sprint completely altered the overall tone of the sport. This was also back whenever DEI started their dominance at all of the restrictor plate tracks. And, this is back whenever nobody could really touch Junior at Talladega. The 2001 fall event is where he began his string of four consecutive wins at the track. If I remember correctly, this particular race wasn't credited as being one of the greatest finishes in NASCAR History.. That's insane. This finish was amazing.
