Hello everyone! This is a non-narrated recording of the Ara’Kara CIty Dungeon done on Heroic Difficulty as a Druid of the Claw Guardian Druid done on the first day of Patch 11.0.2 of the The War Within expansion of World of Warcraft retail.
This is my first time tanking as a Bear Druid in well over a year, and certainly the first time with the new Talents and Hero Talents. It was more of an exploratory run in which I was testing out / learning the new rotation, and definitely not a showcase of everything that a Guardian Druid can currently do. Regardless, I wanted to upload it so that people could get a first-hand look at some of the new abilities and see this dungeon on the new Heroic difficulty. This dungeon was pretty easy, as are all of the Heroic Dungeons as long as you don’t overpull. The new rotation for Guardian is quite interesting, with Feral-weaving seeming like a cool way to boost damage with the Druid of the Claw Hero Talents, but I was having a tough time trying to figure out exactly when and in which situations to Feral Weave and when it would have been better to stay in Bear. Also, there wasn’t a ton of damage going out, so I didn’t really cycle my mitigations and cooldowns very well, or much at all, and I also totally forgot to use the new Lunar Beam ability until like halfway through the Dungeon. All that being said, I can see Guardian Druid being quite fun and quite powerful as we get more gear and master the rotation. I hope that you enjoy this video and find it useful in some way! =)
