In BlizzCon 2016, A fellow WoW Player asked the question ” Do you think you would ever bring back previous expansions to how they were ” and the immediate answer from World of Warcraft’s Executive Producer J. Allen Brack was ” No, you don’t want that. You think you do but you don’t” and millions of WoW Vanilla Fans were crushed after hearing that it would never happen. Fast forward 1 year at BlizzCon 2016, Executive Producer J. Allen Brack presents World of Warcraft Classic, where vanilla World of Warcraft would be brought back in a legacy server form. This video shows you How Blizzard Never Wanted To Make World of Warcraft Classic “You Think You Do, But You Don’t” – One of the biggest WoW memes of 2016. WoW Classic has sparked serious excitement from fans across the globe, both new players who want to experience Vanilla WoW for the first time and as well as Veteran Players who left shortly after Vanilla WoW.
This is How Blizzard Never Wanted To Make World of Warcraft Classic “You Think You Do But, You Don’t”
He kinda redeemed himself with that ice cream intro. Good stuff.
lol, yeah much prefer the wow game that encourages friendships and partnerships than clicking a button to meet with people who don’t deserve your time.
Recreated the launch experience anyways. Such Chad's.
Why do I feel so emotional when he says VANILLA! Man I always wanted to go back so badly… when TBC came out I was doing rank grind and it got impossible because everyone was 61+ in AV… played as long as I could in Vailla we even had some raids still.
such a smug response, and he turned out to be so wrong
you don't wanted that want that to do that either
Nevertheless they didn't make it. People are still playing on private servers and I wasn't that much hopeful about they could have managed. Its quite hard to make it live vanilla experience with highly regulated post 2015 blizzard .With neo-liberal shit and soft-core, participation trophy based recent players of this game it is impossible to achieve and of course blizzard was right about aligning the game out for majority. Real WoW's soul lies in the private servers that much I say.
I'll taking waiting for players and that crappy bug that I hated over the bloated crap that retail has become.
He was right
As I sit in que right this very second to play WOTLK classic I think about how I thought I did but I didn't …
All these years later, this still stands as a solid example of how out of touch Blizzard tends to be with their game design. And how quickly they'll back-pedal when money's involved.
what an absolute joke of a person
this aged well.
strange their was 800 k platying a old server
I mean he was right, we didn't want that, we just wanted the game to be fun, fulfilling and social again but they couldn't do that so they gave us legacy
Is there any more of clear example that Blizzard has no idea what its player base wants. They think they do, but they don't.
Glad Mr. Brack is fired.
They hated Brack because he spoke the truth. Now that classic has come and gone, this has aged like wine.
lol
Wow, Blizzcon is absolute shit!
In other words, he didn't want one of the features he spear-headed to be told it's actually one of the most disliked features of WoW and destroyed WoW's community.
Blizz dumbasses >.< If people didn't want it, there wouldn't have been so many private servers.
Well, I was happy for players that wanted WoW Classic. For me no thanks experienced it once is enough. Do not want to spend a whole day spamming cities to do 2 dungeons. Sure some servers do not have that problem but a lot of them do.
remember that one bug that really piss you off that take us 12 years to get rid off .. still there btw
