Even though I was a Dunkey fan from early till today, watching this video again after 9 years I come to the conclusion I agree with riot about the ban. The ban was for only 5 days, and the comment was indeed toxic. Other players being toxic does not give anyone the right to also become toxic.
And then there are different levels of toxicity, telling someone to go die, like Dunkey did, is on my opinion one of the worst forms of toxicity. So the ban was, on my opinion, completely deserved. This does not mean however, that Riot should not have already helped Dunkey other ways. These are two separate things.
Of course on the other hand, I am happy Dunkey decided to stop playing League, as it is a toxic game on its own, and the game can pretty much bring out toxicity on almost everyone.

when i was young, i didnt understand why Dunk was fustrated over a ban, but when im older, i realize that Riot really didnt acknowledge or respect dunkey's 200 videos made on this game over 5 years at all. anybody in this situation would feel the same

Seeing how much Dunkey has accomplished after quitting LoL is really great to see, but a lot of the takes in this video give off "I just quit League and I still have a little bit to go before I'm fully recovered." Being a massive dick to people in video games is bad, and unskilled players deserve a chance, though I think SBMM is a better solution to that (doesn't ruin anyone else's fun, and helps players improve)

When I first watched this video years ago, i had never (and still haven’t) played League, and my interest in doing so dropped from 1% to 0% instantly. After reading everyone’s comments about how miserable it can be, I am incredibly thankful to Dunkey
I just love how every league content creator most popular moment, is when RIOT finally bans them for some stupid reason, and then they just turn extremely popular and bigger on their own.

Quitting league improves your life immeasurably! Dunkey saw a lot more success with life and business, but I myself also-
Moved to one of my dream countries,
Found a wife,
Had a kid and now have a family,
Saw success with my career,
Own a home,
Etc. It honestly is magic. Dunkey and I are living proof. F*k league of legends and F** Rito. Thank god I kicked that old habit, 8 years sober fellas!
Was League ever actually fun? I tried it once when it was new and thought it wasn't fun to play.

Nothing has changed for the better at all. You cant even chat at all anymore without getting banned, regardless of toxicity. Look up how often people get false chat bans now. The automated bans just take whatever the person reported you doing at face value with zero investigation. I recently had a lost a match with a literally positive kda of 10/7, had the jungle report me saying I was inting despite him being the reason we lost and they threw a 14 day ban at me. Submitted a ticket, heard back 3 DAYS later for them to review and unban me. No apology for the inconvenience. Could have at least given me a hextech key or something. Just a "Fuck you, deal with it. Oh and, can we have more money now?"
