6:29 Ferrari 499P is LMH. If I remember correctly, WEC is able to let LMH & LMDh to race in the Hypercar class. IMSA on the otherhand, use LMDh cars such as Acura, Lamborghini, Porche, etc.
The only bad thing with iRacing is the physics and ffb are horrific compared to LMU. I was doing some iracing yesterday, but quickly came back to LMU. The driving is just better overall. Whilst iracing has more choice, I'm personally drawn in by the focus on mastering a single series, such as was the case with ACC and GT3.
From a user perspective, I don't see it as users having to decide between each sim. I mainly use iracing these days for ovals and LMU for road, mainly due to iracing having a poor physics model on the tyre and very slow ffb update rate.
One thing that iracing would benefit from would be taking the engine from LMU and building a iracing V2. Now that I would pay for.

I mean if I wanted everything in LMU in iracing, i'd be coughing up $100 – $200, not including the sub, Personally the value in this game has yet to be realised and I think overtime it can introduce other classes, also the Mazda rookie class has about the same amount of splits as LMUs beginner series.
Things could be better in the game but I found the positives far outweigh the negatives.
A side note: this game has by far the best netcode of any sim I've played to date.

IRacing doesn’t need to buy it. They will just take the license back from WEC the same way they did it with Indy Car. By the way, the same studio who failed at the Indy car game was… ye;p you guessed it.. Motorsport games lol

People don't seem to understand the cost of running all the servers, especially on iRacing with the amount of series and splits that run every hour, that compute power is not cheap on any provider (AWS/Microsoft/Google).
On the other hand, if LMU had of released dedicated server support it would be a lot more popular as you'd have leagues picking it up, I know a lot of people that are bored with current sims and were waiting for LMU to release dedi servers or they're waiting on AC Evo to release.
iRacing is just too expensive for me. Also, surely the game would just disappear from Steam and become inaccessible to everyone that's bought it? How would that work?
I bought the game for the cheaper price and the two dlcs. Just got to play the hell out of if to ensure i get my moneys worth. If iracing bought it and stripped its licences but gifted some of the cars and tracks to owners of lmu that might be a way of getting some of the players to sign up to iracing 🤷
News? You are aware Motorsport games have multiple titles and projects, many of which are no longer active. You're making a drama out of very little at best, speculating on who is going to buy and thinking your a crack investigative journalist is utterly comical.
WEC license to iRacing, Studio397 and LMU going forward maybe purchased by someone. Indycar license is sold to iRacing. Sure dont hope EA involved, would be a disaster for LMU as a whole.
Neither would be a good option. iRacing would pull the game from Steam and hastily port it to consoles because they think any game they put on PC would cannibalize subscribers from their main service (hence why the World of Outlaws game is console-exclusive), while EA would just fill it with intrusive microtransactions and make online pay-to-win.
Same people that say hates iRacing because is expensive and already have paid hundreds in their content, also say that they love LMU but dont want to pay 12$ for 1 track and 2 cars.🤣🤣. I think MSG has such a bad reputation, that even if they make the best Sim ever, most people just refuse to buy anything from them.🤷♂️. Yes, LMU is AWESOME, but MSG is somewhere behind, so i will stay with iRacing and willing to pay whatever they ask no matter its quality.

EA will be a perfect choice.
I dont care if iracing buys it u know they shuld do what they want take the game engine and Upgrade their own game engine or take the hyper cars from LMU but i and many others would be probably so mad when they come up with their monthly payment nah let be honest but putting money in a virtuel world is stupid on its own yes but monthly as if its your bils no i just learned LMU and found finally a game that makes fun after race room which is so boring i dont want go back to that game no hate tho

They recently hinted at a subscription model before we heard this and I was already heading for the door. Now this. They released the game early because they were in trouble and got our money knowing they couldn't finish it. It doesn't feel ethical.
It become to much money iracing. Hope somebody will buy 397 studio and let them work at their own. It will be bad for wec. So much people already buy le man ultimate. What a bad taste for wec to let their game half finish. Its like being scam

I dont care about iRacing as a company buying this sim. What i dont want is iRacing buying WEC license and dumping LMU. I want LMU staying as a its own game, no matter who puts the money.
Between that 2 I'll choose EA, but with the control of the game being total of "Studio 397"
More content should not be Iracing main focus at this moment..They should buy lemans ultimate for the tire model , graphics engine! And netcoding.
If iRacing buys LMU they'll just kill the game and strip out its licenses.
I think with the current instability in the sim racing world it would be sensible to bite the bullet and join iracing. All I want to do is race le mans. As long as iracing has this….then that's that.
EA is garbage, also the merc amg is not in WEC. they werent given a spot due to not having a hyper car
