I like to think about WoW being more than just a video game. Maybe I could call it an experience. To deepen my experience I spent time reading many Warcraft novels and would encourage others to do the same if you have an interest in learning more of the lore. I have not read all of them but a fair number, like maybe 17 or so. I enjoyed watching the LoL animated series Arcane (season 2 is being released now) and I wish I could see something like that for WoW. A new WoW movie would be great too. Casual playing is definitely the way I have played the game mostly and will continue to in the future. I hope the WoW universe just keeps expanding and we get to see more novels and lore and shows. I often wonder what it would be like to play WoW but with the most current graphics available.

ehh, I quit wow after 20+ years of bullshit, playing RoR warhammer mmo and its alot better then sod and vanilla, I like the fact I can call people bad on it without being banned too even though im complete trash at it rn.. blizzard became more strict then riot with trashtalking. Go woke go broke atleast with my money. RoR is amazing, pvp events constantly in the overworld, WoW style tab targeting pvp with fast and insta globals… Realm vs realm pvp is intense. It produces a much better living world and player experience.. it feels like how old wow felt back in 04… except better tbh.
I hate when I can't keep up with everyone rushing through a dungeon. Killing everything before I can get there I can't look around or even find out what I'm supposed to do. I can't even think of doing a raid… No way.
TBC was really perfect though i can’t wait for that again

Great video! WoW has become more rushed to hit the max level or play whatever the metaclass is. It's going to be nice to just play and not have to worry about anything else.

The "joyn a casual friendly guild" thing wont work for most people. 3 hour MC runs are only cool once. The main reason people tend to push is because they already progressed throu all of the content. You cant turn back time by simulating beeing a noob. As much as I would love to relive all of that, its just not possible.

I’ve never leveled a classic character all the way up which means I’ve never done raids, should I try again with my new guild and try and push all the way through? I’m a newish player who has been on and off wow for a year now so the journey has been rough trying to understand everything about wow

You’re part of the subculture responsible for optimizing the fun out of the game. The idea you’re putting forth is that somehow people playing vanilla casually (when they have leveled through it dozens of times) is somehow revolutionarily. The vast majority of wows player base doesn’t raid. Playing casually while waiting for tbc (which we also played through two years ago) is still a time investment into something you’ve done 5-15 times on other characters. It seems we’ve reached the bottom of barrel to explain the fact that 2 years after playing something, the people that quit during the leveling process restart the nostalgia engine and wax philosophically until the game comes out and they quit again. There will be a back to wrath movement next year by people that never saw Naxx. Blizzard is happy to provide low effort content to secure a sub though I’m sure.

Just do what I do: stop giving a shit about the meta. I've played since late og vanilla/early tbc, and at this point in my life, I don't know what "parsing" is, or what "spell batching" is, and frankly, I don't care. I like exploring Azeroth and questing. My raiding days are over.
The Vanilla TBC WOTLK arc is just the best thing ever… I'd prefer a separate server for each expansion, but re-releasing is alright with me too, an opportunity to do things I didn't get done last time
Blizzard needs to work on the next Wow. A new IP, or perhaps set in Azeroths past. Something completely fresh and new. Something HUGE, as in next level in terms of world scale. Go back to the slower paced style of MMORPG. Games like Elden Ring were so cool to experience during those first weeks of playing because everyone was experiencing the game at the same time without guides or any info whatsoever, just exploring the game and learning on your own
