Battle for Azeroth was released in August of 2018 and is notorious for its grueling grinds and long hours needed to make progress and acquire gear or collectables, often lasting for a whole patch or the entire expansion. So in this video we’ll be going over the worst grinds of BFA.

  1. Also the corruption vendor 14:50 also had a stupid rotation mechanic on it. Meaning only a portion of the corruption effects were sold every three days I think. Blizzard truly wanted us back then to not just play with corruptions, even thought I absolutly loved them

  2. There was kind of a fix to the azerite armor. If i remember correctly they implemented a vendor in which you could buy azerite armor. Lower prices for "rnd" azerite and insane prices for specific. There was options for nhc grade gear (rnd (cheap), specifc (expensive)) hc and mythic gear. In which if you wanted to have the best possible you had to save up for month. Kind of annoying cause at that time my guild was aiming for halls of fame, but you could at least catch up or do a main switch.

  3. Ugh yeah making it so the new races added with the expansion were only unlockable by playing through the exapansion was just garbage….like I already PAID for the expansion and new races are supposed to be part of that…. now I have to play through most of the expansion to get those races….so I can just play through it again?

  4. Benthic gear was really easy to acquire and I don’t remember it being at all difficult to upgrade. There was only like two good pieces/buffs. Surprised to see it so high on the list.

  5. Wait but you're high as fuck no? There was literally a vendor for Azerite Pieces? The only bad part about this system was the "use increasing amounts of gold to reset the same piece" bullshit.
Also benthic gear was kind of cool, you got your 3-4 good effect pieces and that was it. It was not required for alts or to clear any of the raid content. I also do not know a single soul who did ever buy a single Azerite piece from that vendor (not saying those prices were a good choice).

  6. "Worst grinds" proceeds to list at least 6 of my favorite things about the expansion
Nah mate, corruptions were fun as hell unless you were trying to min-max! Islands was super chill too if you didn't care to min-max the fun out of it. Visions were just challenging content at the time and a nice thing to do solo or in a group, like a delve precursor.

  7. My buddy wanted tombstalker and we were near the end of the xpac when not only did the pug tank get it to drop but I also got it at the same time but my buddy never got it despite running it more than me lmao

  8. The Visions and Corrupted Gear were some nice Additions in my opinion. It gave you some solo content and challenge to achieve. I played a Blood DK at that time and the last two Raid bosses, where the best loot dropped were some of the easiest ones in a while.

  9. the truth is that BFA was the last expansion I played throughout the entirety of the xpac. After that I just played through the new expansion to the max lvl and then maybe some catching up before the next expansion hit

  10. I remember looting Sharkbait. I was blissfully unaware of its rarity and was actually pissed that it had dropped from a +something instead of a whatever I was hoping for. I distinctly remember thinking: "I don't need another damn mount, I can already fly about anyway." I still dislike the mount and never use it.

  11. I did all of these grinds and I got mollie but the dungeon mounts I was never lucky to get. I did get the gmod mount from battle of dazar'alor. Benthic gear was so temporary it felt silly. And I actually liked islands except it was required to use them to upgrade your azeroth necklace

  12. There is a grind for a cooking recipe in Nazjatar called Unagi Skewer. It drops from a specific daily quest. That quest is only available when you pick a specific bodyguard. Then after selecting the bodyguard you have to fly over to the location of the daily quest and check to see if the recipe is part of the reward or not. Its another case of double-RNG as the daily quest isn't available every day, and even if the quest is available its a very low chance to have the recipe as part of the rewards. Took me 4 months to get it.
