Retail is still the largest player base by millions
Really astute point about the fact that you feel less powerful as you level when playing retail wow. I thought I was the only one who felt that way so thank you for raising that issue.
Vanilla (pre free to play) LOTRO and vanilla World of Warcraft are my two favorite games ever. To play the game without alot of addons is the way, the one addons that is game changing for Classic WoW is voice over Ai, try it.
in the words of John, McLean, welcome to the party, pal 😂
I totally agree that your average "kid" wont have the patience for this game….and thats a good thing for a guy in his 40s like me. Are ya playing on Nighslayer?
Interesting, I just started 2 weeks ago and while I do have experience in quite a lot of MMO's, I never started WoW. I started with Retail because of the better graphics, but as with you I have no idea what the story is or where I am in this world. And levelling is way too fast for my taste. I might start Classic one of these days, though I wonder how the graphics are in Classic.
Oooh thanks for this look into a game I've never played. I grew up with a weak as heck PC that could just about manage Runescape so that's all I stuck with. That and I couldn't support an ongoing subscription. Interesting to see!
