A giant revamp of Azeroth is 100% coming, this is not up for debate the only question is how large it is going to be an recently we got some big information that might shed light on that. We all know Quel’Thalas and Northrend are getting revamped but player housing is coming, almost certainly race specific and remember we got over 20 playable races which means all of these zones will get updated as well. Draenei have been confirmed to get a new city, goblins are now getting a new city, there are dialogues of Orgrimmar expanding soon, things are happening in Undercity and the Arathi highlands and soon Azeroth will look completely different. I think the times of having 2004 Elwynn forest in a 2030 game is going to be at an end and big changes are coming. So let’s cover everything we currently know about a giant revamp of Azeroth happening.

They should add some form of guild hall, would be a pretty neat feature I think

I'll believe it when I see it. People have been saying this is coming for like 7 years lol
Azeroth as we know it has more or less been the same since cataclysm. More time has passed since cataclysm than passed between vanilla and cata.
We are long overdue for environment/model/quest revamps.
I really hope there's an option to talk to a time dragon to switch back and forth between old and new.
Well they not just need to update the zones! They need to be a lot larger as well. So we will see how it goes.
The biggest issue still left for me is that have not taken steps to fix the lore that was damaged likely beyond repair during Shadowlands.
I have not played Dragonflight beyond a sneak peak and I have not played the current expansion. But what I heared did not sound like "Hey WarCraft is back!" and "We have some fixes for lore issues and disrespects towards WarCraft 3!" in any way, shape or form.
I'm really glad that Quel'Thalas will be finally updated, I've been dreaming about it for a long time. It's one of the most beautiful starting zones, tho it's stuck in old render and polygons everywhere. I'd like to the Darkspear Trolls having an actual city, not the abandoned Echo Isles.
Some people back in the day used to say blizzard kept the old graphics because of nostalgia… well, I think they keep it because of the old engine of the game. It makes no sense to keep the low resolution in the name of the classic lovers, since they dedicated a whole classic game for them… it’s more about engineering limitations nowadays. I hope they manage to figure it how and let the art team cook.
Maybe its just me, but I really want Major Cities to have more than an impact.
IMO you should have a heartstone locked to your race by default – For example Human stormwind, Nelf the new X-assil tree in DF, and with portals to interconnect them with each other.
The major cities should be updated with the necessary vendors like Auction house etc to make them convenient.

The problem with major cities right now is that theyre inconvenient so might aswell stay in stormwind/orgrimmar rispectively.

You know what I want. Even if it’s not like lore or whatever. I think an extra human zone around Elwynn and Redridge would be nice. Like a big plains zone where all these nobles of Stormwind could have estates and stuff… I don’t even main Alliance, and I’m never in the area, but it’d be cool to have more like, nobility rep, you hear about the nobles of Stormwind all the time, where they from? Where they live? I dunno.
Bring back languages, bring back class trainers, bring back weapon skill training. Put a unique spin on all of it, be it functional or flavour wise. But revamping old world is a step in the right direction, not the biggest fan of new and new zones.
All the revamp only to play on low settings 😅😅

Larger zones mean NOTHING if the gameplay and lore is trash. They genuinely destroyed this game.
I dreamt about full Quel'thalas, since Vanilla. And other zones, too. I hope that they will actually update it all! ♥ When this will happen? what patch?? :O
I'm confused is the assumption that it will be sandbox housing? Because I 100% guarantee it's going to be instanced like in SWTOR, LOTRO and FFXIV. MMO's just aren't that cool anymore.
I would prefer a 100 times world revamp over housing 🤷🏻
