i bought so many golden pearls for what i thought was very cheap 7g as an investment thinking the ah is flooded from people leveling but most are 60 now and the price is still dropping which means bots must be farming them on all layers. hopefully they go up in later phases when people needing enchants outweighs the bots flooding the ah with em

Blizzard probably wants from you to buy gold for real money instead of grinding for it and even if you still want to grind, you can hardly do it because there is a lack of grinding spots wich are swarmed with Bot's. It is Blizard new buisiness model, it is by design in which BOTs are just Blizzard smoke and mirrors…Only consistent way to get some gold is through instances if your class is capable for such a task.

Farmers and bots are destroying WoW. Most farmers are getting up early at 5 am in the morning and till 12 midnight, they farm materials and sell them lower than everyone else, then they sell their golds on Discord servers. Most of them are from Iran. And why they sell their gold in Iran because wow gold is more valuable than Iran's currency. I can link many videos from youtube and Instagram from iranian YouTubers and bloggers who teach people to farm gold and making real money (RMT) from it.

I know everyone is complaining about the botting, and it IS horrible and way out of control! I'm on Dreamscythe, not Hardcore this time, and I'm not a fan of playing on a PvP server. But the botting isn't just a matter of banning people or IP addresses. As Madskillzzhc explained in his followup video after he was going to quit over receiving death threats from botters, the huge companies making the botting software create 16 different *versions* of the software. If one is detected by Blizzard and banned, the Botting Agencies just create new accounts and use the next in line version of the botting software. From a technical standpoint, these are detected using both software and hardware "endpoints" designed specifically for detecting malware and bots. However, they need CONSTANT maintenance (daily/weekly) in order to stay up to date and keep detecting the newest "threat". These upgrades cost manpower and real dollars, which gets expensive fast. If the expense exceeds the company's yearly budget, it gets flagged to de-invest in the expensive project to balance out the company's revenue overall and so Investors don't back out. So while Blizzard may be able to perform these ban-waves every so often, they may not have their budget properly allocated for these crucial I.T. Security upgrades and maintenance plans, or not have the project supported by the Microsoft Investors. I'm not trying to defend Blizzard here, but either Blizzard is sharing an I.T. resource the Botting companies have access to (hence the botters' ability to keep making multiple versions of their software undetected), or Blizzard is not getting approved for funding for upgrades/maintenance due to that exceeding the I.T. Security budget.
That's my take on it. I'm just a past I.T. Expert (though nothing special), but my fiance is an I.T. Security Architect who has worked for large, global companies implementing their security end-points, and I've discussed this problem with him extensively.

The reason I think there is more of an influx to Classic Era is because people came back to Classic for the nostalgia and enjoyment, but the botting situation has made the atmosphere extremely difficult to tolerate on Anniversary servers. Even trying to do quests while leveling is painful (hello STV). Blizzard successfully achieved their PR stunt with Classic Anniversary realms, but the lack of action on the bots *will* drive people over to Classic Era instead if they don't do anything about the bots SOON. It's a huge daily struggle just trying to get to 60! Unless of course you just sit in a dungeon all day or go XP grind mobs in some remote area you find.

TL;DR, I am going to make a toon on each of the other servers just to compare prices in-game and get better data into my Region Market Avg into TSM. I play on HC DP, Classic Era sometimes, Cata Classic (that was originally Classic 2019), and now Dreamscythe. I don't have any toons on the other Anniversary Realms yet. I do not play SoD at all. And the pricing fluctuations I see on other versions of Classic are in *stark* contrast to the Dreamscythe Classic Anniversary realm. While this IS "Fresh" Classic, we should have started to see some progress and prices "normalizing" on the AH by now, 6 weeks into the new fresh release.

You are talking about "investments" in a virtual world while also wondering why its so hard to make gold? That investment mindset is THE problem. In the real world when blackrock buys up all the housing for investments it creates a big problem for everyone else. How are you confused about people trying to "invest" in a virtual economy having the same problems?

With executives and shareholders nickel and diming us and other so called players looking to turn the game into a full time job the actual players have a tough time in the virtual economy. Go ahead and make more videos complaining as you continue to be part of the problem though my guy.

Ive been making good gold as a miner.

I started late (around lvl 30 now) and the botting is so bad that almost EVERYTHING I have to sell my addon tells me I can make more money vendoring it. Cloth, cooking mats, ore, skin, gems, etc. it doesn't matter. One exception to this is wool (since it is used for rep) and I went to farm in Charred Vale super late at night on mobs that I would still get XP on… basically figured I'd grind out to lvl 40 and have enough for the mount easy. Alliance were there and kept killing the lower lvl players. Between that and the low cost I could sell Wool Cloth for, I did the math on cloth per hour and it would take 251 in game days of farming Wool Cloth to get the mount and training at an honored discount.

The bots are INSANE and I'm getting priced out of just about everything I have access to. It's great if you're trying to BUY something, but right now trying to SELL lower level stuff just isn't worth it… which means I have very few options to make enough gold for a mount.
