This title was first created by Kil’jaeden from the spirit of the orc shaman Ner’zhul with the intention of raising an undead army, and it has evolved extensively over time. The Lich King went on to betray his creator and even embark on several adventures of his own in the World of Warcraft, wherein he was voiced by Michael McConnohie. Bolvar was cleansed from Putress corrupted blight with dragonfire from Alexstraza. Bolvar was the next Lich king after Arthus, so Bolvar and Arthus are definitely not the same. I remember the cut scene when my favourite Chr in wow, Tirion Fordring was about to don the helm, saying the burden must be his, but Bolvar turned up and persuaded Tirion it must be him.
