  1. The Wow-Pro addon has a useful keybinding that activates a quest item based on the context. It can do that because it knows what quest you're trying to do at any given time because you're following the guide. I bind that to V and it's such a time saver. I don't have to put items on my hotbar or reach over to the objectives list to use the item.

  2. 1970s: Stop pressing all those buttons! Just use this mouse and click everything!
    2020s: Stop using that silly mouse! Just keybind all those commands!
    The more things change…

  3. I've used the same 36 keybinds, QERFCV123456, and then shift / alt versions of those ever since WoD or so. It becomes so intuitive to just know AOE goes here, interrupt here, hard hitting thing here, filler here. Makes picking up any class and playing it at a reasonable level so easy.

  4. Some good advice, I actually didn't think of using Shift + Q/E/R. Having said that, suggesting ctrl/shift + z/x/c is just wild to me, or my hands are just bricked.

  5. build in mouse over casting is horrible. it turns it on for EVERY spell at the same time. Its better to make 2-3 mouse over macro and leave the rest then turn everything on and suddenly you waste your interupt cd becouse its changed to mouse over or throw shield into not agro pack.

  6. Still waiting for rogue get a pruning, need less fucking ability and more passive or toggle on/off ability ffs… And plz blizzard remove the fucking useless attack that è power a random combo point and give us something more usefull

  7. I made an AutoHotkey script to alias CapsLock to Ctrl+Shift. A whole second modifier for 1-4QRFZXCV is amazing. Add OPie into the mix for things like CL+Space being a mount ring, or CL+R for Target Markers, and it's a whole new world of adventure. Also who rebinds Character Sheet from C to Y? Just map it to Ctrl+C.

  8. Years ago a bellular video on keybindings changed how I play this game and made it more enjoyable.
    Now you're giving me new ideas that I'm definitely going to test

  9. I haven't used my keyboard for gaming since Wrath. I use a logitech board w/as many G keys as I can get for keys that aren't used in combat. Mounts & fishing mainly. Got a Logitech G13 & thumb trackball (so just R, L, Scroll & foreward/back switch buttons). Going to have to scout out a gamepad to replace the G13 eventually as they don't make it any more unfortunately. This setup has taken a lot of stress off both wrists & keeps my chronic tendonitis from flaring too often. But I can see being able to adapt your suggestions to make the keybinds on the G13 more efficient. Looks like I'll be tinkering the next couple of days, will keep me occupied until early access lol.

  10. Great spreadsheet for the classes. I thought I was ok with my key bind ways but this has improvements I can use especially when hoping from one class to another

  11. y'all crazy mofos who don't use a razer tarterus styled keyboard… it's a literal life / game changer.

    also… who the hell uses their left thumb for zxcv?????

  12. Why does no one use the mouse for movement anymore.. I raid Mythic and move with my mouse and do everything else with my left hand. There is no one right or wrong way to do it.. Its what ever works for you. Don't worry about what everyone else is doing.

  13. Thanks for the video! I was just going to use my scuffed binds for TWW, but I think now I'll redo them! I like the spreadsheet, very helpful!! I do use ESDF though, I would never go back to WASD for WoW.

  14. They need a hard cap of 20 abilities. Having to have more than 20 Keybinds feels like aids. Then knock a few abilities off that for Mounting/Opening your Inventory/Character sheet/etc.

    I use the following:
    Q = Most used Single Target resource builder
    2 = Single Target Finisher/Spender
    E = Stun or another core rotation ability.
    R = Core Rotational ability, usually something that cleaves
    3 = Minor CD
    4 = Less used core rotation/Minor CD
    F = Charge/Fel Rush/Shadowstep/Gap Closers
    G = Mount
    X = Self Heal
    Shift X = Self Heal / Group Heal / Some kinda Healing utility — Like Natures Vigil / or a Health Stone if my class only has one self heal.
    Shift+R = Interrupt
    T = CC
    Tab = Sprint/Go Fast
    Shift Space = Cloak / Some kinda defensive.
    V = Some kinda AOE Ground Effect like Death and Decay or Consc / Stealth / Vanish Macro.
    Shift Q = Spammable AOE Builder
    Shift 2 = AOE Finisher or Execute

    I have a Razor Naga with 12 buttons on the side. These are all mapped to things like [,],;,', instead of numbers so they don't overlap with the keyboard number keybinds — but for the sake of simplicity, how they are bound on the mouse:

    Mouse buttons:
    1 = Generally for some kind of ranged ability or debuff, or a CD I don't use too often
    4 = Same as above
    2 = is for Taunts/Enrage Dispells/Other Utiltiy like Feint/Cower/Ring of Peace.
    3 = CC breaks like Trinket / WotF / Freedom
    Shift 2 = Major CDs/DPS Macro
    5 = PTT on Discord
    6 = Major CDs/DPS Macro
    7 = Defensive (Evasion/Shield of Vengeance/Blur/Survival Instincts/Shield Wall/etc)
    8 = Another Defensive
    9 = Another Defensive

    This is my general template that I use for pretty much everything. It's generally enough keys for the simpler classes.
    I use things like Shift Space for shifting into Cat form, Shift F for Bear Form and will occasionally use those for other utilities if I need more buttons.

    I don't like using lots of Shift/Alt multipliers cause my brain breaks when I try to remember which multiplier to use. So Shift is the only one I use. It also keeps all my keybinds right around WSAD, and I only have to use the easy to reach buttons on the side of my mouse with my thumb. I don't have enough thumb mobility to be hitting the 10-12 keys without my thumb feeling like a neckless weightlifter trying to look at their feet.

    Whenever I play a class and that feels like it isn't enough keybinds, I pretty much don't enjoy that class. Hence why I don't like playing Shaman — Just don't have enough fingers for that class with trying to manage all the different totems/totemic recall/etc.

  15. I want to redo my keybindings so bad, but the 17 years of muscle memory is tough to give up. Definitely not the best player(Mid tier CE raider/2200 gatekeeper) but its hard to see myself getting over those humps after having to relearn pretty much the whole game

  16. That spreadsheet looks really well done! I especially appreciate the addition of suggestions for putting specific abilities on certain binds since I think that will help figure out where to put some minor binds that aren't currently actively used in rotations (especially for altoholics like myself). Thank you for this great resource!
