PLAYER HOUSING IN WOW IS HAPPENING! (Warcraft 30 Direct Reaction)

dying for the player dance studio they announced in vanilla, you chose moves and routines for your character to customize your character i'm still waiting for and I'm a beta player, lets see how long this happens housing took 21 years, EQ1 had it and EQ2 had it when the comes came out so not having the technology is BS it was out there even Arch age had player housing.

I've spent so much time on housing in FF14 (it truly has been the endgame there for me haha)
As for housing in WoW, if it’s going to be just a single room you can decorate with wall and floor props, I’d lose interest fairly quick.What I personally hope WoW housing would be like:

An instance (just an interior) that you could imagine existing anywhere in the world, not physically in any specific zone. The ability to match fixtures to the different player races, and to create custom layouts with wall pieces, doors etc. Option to have two floors with stairs, though I suspect it more likely to be a single floor.

I’d rather have a highly customizable interior instance than an interior fixed to few exterior house models.

No neighbourhoods. Possible to invite a whole raid group’s worth of people into the instance, or make entering it permission-based to allow even more people in, depending on the size of the interior. Many guilds would be thrilled to have a big enough space to act as their headquarter.

If they offer enough options for customization and creativity to make the place feel like your unique space in the game, only then I could imagine this becoming new exciting player-driven content that creates a buzz with people sharing their designs.

Not to mention housing enthusiasts getting hyped every time they’d release new furnishings!

Watched wowcrendor's take on WoW player housing, but I think he missed a HUGE part of the conversation by not looking at how Final Fantasy XIV absolutely nails it. FFXIV’s player housing is on a whole different level — it’s not just 'a feature,' it's a full community experience! People create insane designs, host events, and turn their homes into everything from cozy hangouts to sprawling social hubs. WoW players deserve this too!✨

The potential for WoW is massive if Blizzard takes inspiration from FFXIV: imagine fully customizable guild bases, personal spaces, or even themed decor from our favorite expansions. Garrisons were an attempt, but they lacked freedom and creativity. Blizzard, if you’re listening, it’s time to make WoW housing just as meaningful and let players finally build something personal in Azeroth.🌍 Who else agrees that WoW housing should take notes from FFXIV?

Sweet. Out toons get their own houses….because Lord knows most of us never will IRL.

If its templated then they shouldn't bother. Blizzard is about doing what other games have done better, if they can't do it better then don't do it

Now they need to hurry and give us Warband screen customizations and let us put our characters in their houses for the select screen.

What about the Dance Studio

My only hope is that the style of houses is not locked (at least not initially) to the player's character race. I main a Worgen, but I don't really like the Gilnean style of buildings. At least in my own character's backstory, he was raised by Night Elves and so I wanna live in a Night Elf house as a Worgen. Some of the larger houses in Bel'Ameth (with the spiral staircase in the middle) would be perfect as a player home for my Worgen.

My biggest fear is that housing is limited like in ff14, i know thats more realistic but I'd rather just have like "house in Elwynn" and its a house in a forest thats in its own little instance. I hope that housing is also a permanent thing and will be expanded on for the future . Maybe with other remix expansions, they add furniture related to that expansion?

Too bad I dont play anymore or care to.

Definitely hope we get a spot in our house for hunter pets/mounts/companions.

And yet…….they are STILL not going to fix our garrisons in Draenor; for example, we are STILL unable to mount up our trophies on the pedestals outside for heaven's sake!

I don’t understand MoP Classic. They just did MoP Remix, so there has to be an element of fatigue there.

The Warcraft 3 update broke the game AGAIN for people that didn't buy reforged.

I really mostly hope they include various styles for everything. Some of us, girls or not, want something a little more cutesy than just "hang boss head here" "put weapon model here". Mostly, I hope everything is obtainable through other means than just being rich in the game and buying everything up. Like, even old content could be a fun way to get items and encourage people to go smell the roses and do more simple relaxing things. I really hope everything is placeable, but idk if that will happen. So I hope at least we get choices and they don't just do what they did with garrisons and homogenize everyones experience by making us all have the same general aesthetic.

I gave up hoping for housing so long ago lol. WOD garrisons felt like a prototype for it so I hoped that's what they were planning but I gave up lol.

I see a lot of people referencing ESO housing, which I have not personally played, but I could see Blizzard doing something similar to the housing in SWTOR. I haven’t played it in a while, but I thought the housing system worked well and customization wasn’t too limited. You buy the stronghold/house and then you can decorate it with different anchor sets and then the furniture fits the anchor point. Then, you could move it around pretty much however you liked. You could also get guild strongholds, which I wonder if WoW will implement with player housing.

Anything that is less than ESO, FFXIV, or Wildstar when it comes to customization will be a disappointment. If they are just going to be doing garrison-lite with a template they may as well not even bother.
