  1. I mostly like the idea of large dungeons you can only do once. The downside is there either cannot be any gear dropped or all the available gear drops for everyone. Imagine not getting the drop you want and never having a second chance to get it.

  2. I played WoW for years, right from vanilla days. I NEVER realised sunken temple was bigger than the 3 or 4 standard bosses that everyone always wanted. Never did the statues thing, not once that I remember. Feel like i massively missed out, as I loved the huge sprawling dungeons, like BRD and the xBRS ones.

  3. Fun fact: there was one particular mob in BRD that you could mind control that had zero cooldown on an ability called "Throw wrench" or something similar. When mind controlled you could spam the hell out of it and take down bosses in seconds, though you had to be careful not to get the killing blow or it wouldn't count as a party kill.

  4. @17:10 Actually, when it came to instanced dungeons…Take your pick, but SOE got to it first. WELL ahead of blizzard. Either LDON for Everquest, or more so GoD. Both came out WELL before WoW dropped. So giving Blizzard that distinction is kind of shitting on the company that gave it to us first.

  5. Knew BRD would be in this and not disappointed at all to see it’s #1. Jailbreak leading into the Stormwind confrontation with Onyxia was just an amazing experience

  6. I wonder why Blizz aren't doing mega dungeons such as vanilla BRD, but with the raid mechanic of "3 kills for a skip" quest.

It would be an ideal scenario the way I see, players get to experience to massive DnD style dungeons, the devs can get their brain juices flowing on something epic, and players who are willing to farm it a few times get access to a skip if there's specifoc loot they want.

I'd call it a massive win if they did that

  7. Man I loved the BC heroics and Cata heroics before the nerf… You really felt a sense of accomplishment after finishing one of those back in those days. Didn't feel like you're a child in a sandbox playing with shovels and buckets but instead it kicked your ass if you messed up. But then again, the game was catering to the casual players who couldn't be bothered to "git gud" as DS players would tell them, instead resorting to whining and moaning on forums. It got so ridiculous in the end that I remember tanking an entire room full of trash mobs plus the boss in MoP"heroic" just to see my health bar drop and actually get challenged to survive. I for one would love to see challenging heroics again and mechanically complex boss fights in dungeons, plus some rewards worthy of doing those again.

  8. honestly not sure why halls of reflection is on this considering everybody hated it when it came out. When it was current content it wasn't liked, how is that best. I still remember people dropping constantly from it.

  9. Caverns of time was cool the first few times. It got removed from timewalking because as soon as people got it, they left. It was way too long. I don't think it deserves second place. I don't think it even belongs on the list to be honest.

  10. The problem isn't the same people crying for harder then easier content–the game has both casual and hardcore players, and you literally cant satisfy one without screwing over the other. Personally, I say WoW started out as the "casual", less punishing mmo compared to its contemporaries, like everquest, and so, for me, the "hardcores" are ruining the game. They'd say the same about me, though. Wow will never be what everyone wants anymore than anything else. I'd LOVE a seperate game that has the same classes and function but is just unrated pvp with all the modes and lots of new maps.

Edit: I want tf2, but WoW flavored.

  11. CoS was shit gameplay wise. Its important because of the story but back in Wotlk ppl insta leave this place because its long and boring. Overall not a good dungeon

  12. Flash forward to season 4 in Shadowlands where Grim Rail was m+ and was easily the worst dungeon key to get all season. Awful sight when you would tank it, tight hallways which made spiteful sanguine, quaking. 1st and 2nd boss on 22 or above tyran keys= nightmare fuel. It was a community best pick and and why it was in the rotation and just proof that the wow community at a whole are actual bots and live in a world of nostalgia and not practicality

  13. I'm fine with easier content and I enjoy a challenge too. I just don't want to have to spend 30 minutes before a pick up group to figure out the mechanics of modern boss fights. I'm a lazy DPS player. Just let me blast you with my power until you die please. I don't like having to fit my character different ways for different dungeons.

Yes I'm lazy and admit that. I want to have fun not be stressed out.

  14. Minor correction: The bronze drake's boss was on a timer, if you didn't kill it within the time, it'd disappear along with the mount. This wouldn't be so bad if Arthas wasn't slow as heck and if he died you had to restart that section and was required to open the next sections, so he couldn't be left behind. This wasn't as big of a deal later in the expansion but at the start? The bronze drake was an achievement.
